Nick Gilbert passes away at 26

This is very heartbreaking. As a parent losing your child is one of the devastating things to experience. Nick brought so much joy, fire, love, and warmth to this Cleveland franchise. I’ll never forget his tweets and the 2 lotteries where he brought the number 1 pick. The passion he brought in his condition is remarkable.

I cannot imagine what the Gilbert family is going through. Prayers to the Gilbert family.

Heartbreaking for the Gilbert family. A very special young man taken way too soon. The draft lottery where most of us were introduced to him was May 17, 2011 - twelve years less ten days ago. “What’s not to like?”

Credit to Dan Gilbert for knowing his son wouldn't have as much time on this Earth but giving him a heck of a life for 26 years. The family has given all of us a lot to like.
