Nobody Beats The Wiz Khalifa Diop

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
There were two layups and the rest were dunks in the highlight package. Can he shoot the basketball? He finishes dunks through contact with a foul called, but no videos of the foul shots finishing the 3 point play.

Develop well overseas Wiz. See you next year in Summer league. Maybe you'll stick around with Aussie Bird Luke.
Previously he shot 3s in his U19 tenure - example here. He can hit mid range and hit 2 3s. I was surprised. I think right now he’s being more to shoot inside rather than developing his game further from outside.

He has good form on his foul shot. Nice to see. I was kind of expecting a Shaq like shot-put from the foul line. The three point shooting is highly unexpected and welcome.

He looks like he can already set a moving screen. His roll game to the basket looks nice.

Develop well this year Wiz! See you next year, but will check in on the videos of your progress on this page.

Mitchell, Garland, Mobley (3), Allen (4), Diop (5) may be a far in the future tall ball lineup to punish small ball teams.

Khalifa Diop has switched to a different competitive team in the same Spanish league. Baskonia is not, in fact, an album by OutKast. They made the quarter finals in the Spanish League last year, as did Gran Canaria.

Hopefully he can achieve more than 10.6 credits on his new team

His first preseason game highlights scoring 14 points including one 15 ft jumper and one crossover drive to the basket

His quick press conference in Spanish - talks about how its first game so needs to do better in communication. Run a lot in transition as well.

I believe him involving running in transition is good for him.

A LOT of Lotto tickets right now between Bates, Porter Jr., Diop, and Travers

If even one of them becomes a legit playoff team top 8 rotation player within the next 2-5 years, it’s a massive win.

If TWO of them did it would be monumental.

Even if not for us, if one or two of them get perceived to have that value around the league to where they also have trade value equivalent to dealing a non lotto 1st rd pick , that would be epicly huge

Calling my shot on those four.

Diop and Travers become nothing, Bates becomes rotational, and Porter becomes a great 3rd PG who helps when injuries to our pg rotation which in the NBA is quite often actually and extremely useful.

I'm gonna call my shot too, then...

Travers turns into the lovechild of Nic Batum and Joe Ingles (*not* prime Batum)...

Diop turns into a poor mans Robert Williams...

Craig Porter Jr turns into a usable piece like Cam Payne/Cory Joseph/Beno Udrih...

Emoni Bates turns into something between TJ Warren and Reggie Miller...

Isn enough room on our team for all 4 to develop to be honest.

Hate to do this to my boy but here’s how I’d rank their likelihood of being a reliable every game rotation player for a winning team by say 2026

1. Porter Jr
2. Bates
3. Diop
4. Travers

Here’s how I’d rank their ceilings

1. Bates
2. Travers
3 Porter Jr.
4. Diop

To be realistic, the odds are low to decent that one of them becomes a true quality rotation player on a team playing winning basketball.

Two of them getting there would be breaking the odds.

Anything more than that would just be absurd, though not impossible.

I would flip Bates and Porter, but that is the only difference.

I think consolidation trades is the way it'll go, but I see those 4 being "the bench" for the Cavaliers.

DG, CPJ
DM, Emoni
Strus, Luuuuuke
Evan, Niang
JA, Diop

I honestly see Porter as the one with the best chance to be a rotational player. Maybe because of age, the game he has. Could see him as a quality back-up pg.
Bates is intriguing but he is only 19 and has a lot of stuff to improve on
People discount I.Mobley but I see him with a better chance to be a rotational piece than Travers or Diop

Diop's minutes per game are down with his new team(Baskonia) after several years with Gran Canaria. Anyone know if Baskonia is typically a better team/roster?

Production wise his per 36 rebounds, block and steals are up and his shooting percentage is a good number, though I assume it's 90% dunks, lobs, and layup attempts.
