Context: I'm old and don't know half of the acts already posted. I love hip-hop but it's been a long time since i could live in it like I used to but I thought I'd throw out links to some of the tracks and acts that I still love...

Juggaknots are one of the most underrated groups of the 90's. That Clear Blue Skies record was ridiculously good. It had its darker themes and insane vocals by Brewin. His style is one of the most unique and technical in the entire field. Even though he's rhyming, you feel like he's really just talking to you and wasn't trying to rhyme. Insanely good. You hear their new album that came out in 08? Good stuff as well.
I used to be big into Sage... so much so that my boy and I actually booked/promoted him in Pittsburgh and Cleveland. If you went to the Sage show at the Blind Lemon circa 99/00, that was us that brought him. Anymore though I haven't been feeling him. Seems like his rhymes have kind of fallen off.
