Travis Howard first-team DB? Yeah... and Buster Skrine hasn't been called for pass interference this season.

Can't wait to not have Travis Howard next year.

Haha.. The B1G coaches are going to have their 2nd team QB go to NY for the Heisman event. :chuckles:

What a joke.

Jim Tressel never earned a Big 10 COY award either.

Go figure.

Why is the Big Ten so butthurt all the time?

Hasn't it been over 30 years since Ohio State had a coach get this award?

33.

The rest of the coaches know what's coming and there isn't a fucking thing they can do. They can't outcoach him, they can't recruit better than him. He cant be bargained with, he can't be reasoned with. He doesn't feel pity or remorse, and he will not stop until he has won by 50.

Sorry, I watched the terminator last night.

Wow. Just unbelievable he did not win in 2002.

EDIT: Oh btw.. I never understood the O'Brien/Meyer debate either. Wah, PSU had to deal with sanctions. Yeah and they went 8-4, with their only quality wins coming against Wisconsin and Northwestern. They lost to Nebraska, Ohio State, VIRGINIA, and OHIO.

Yet Ohio State turns around from 6-7 to go 12-0; dominating Nebraska, beating Wisconsin, etc. We went from our worst season since '97.. 1897............. to go undefeated for only the 6th time. Baffling, I must be stupid.

I am as big of a fan of Urban Meyer as anybody but everyone expected us to win atleast 9 games this season especially with the kind of talent we had. No one expected Penn State to even win 2 games. Their players could have up and left at any time during the season and some key players did. For O'Brien to even finish 6-6 would have been tremendous. The guy deserved it as much as anyone.

John L Smith has one...so it's pretty prestigious.

I mean, I get where all of that is coming from. (I don't think they were honestly expected to win 2 games, but still.) Who did they really lose that was valuable? I know Silas Redd. I don't know who else was a key player that picked up and went elsewhere.

But even saying "people expected Ohio State to win 9 games.." you're right, 9 games, not all 12. Sure people were talking about the possibilities of an undefeated season but I don't know if anyone honestly expected it. I just think that is an amazing turnaround from last season. From worst to best.

They lost their starting inside linebacker, one of their starting WRs, their back up QB who had started games before and was planning on switching to TE, their starting kicker(the backup started the season 2 of 8), and 5 4 start recruits. Also now that I look at articles predicting what their record would be this year I take back that 2 win statement. I get that going 12-0 is unheard for a coach to do in his first season after being 6-7 the previous year but so is going 8-4 after getting the death penalty. I just think Bill O'Brien had more working against him. If anything I guess they should both be co-coach of the year.

Thought this was pretty funny.
