"We want to bring you a championship, not a taco" would have been the best IMO.

"One Team, One Dream" I guess One Goal is close enough.....or

It's Cleveland....it's bound to happen eventually

I have no clever ideas, but I really like how the poster doesn't have Mo, Z, LBJ on it. It really places an emphasis on the role players, and finally, unlike any other year so far, the Cavs have those guys who aren't focal points but just do their jobs every night.

THIS is the mural I want hanging on the side of the Q

I lobbied for this...I thought it has a nice ring to it. They said it was a little wordy.:(

"One goal....and who the hell needs tacos when we got Max's nachos."

Sig check

You already know what it is once we start getting some W's

Its shoulda been the "Slay the ****in curse already"

Not a very catchy phrase,,,,how about not just a slogan, but a spokes person...how about this one,

"oh yeah, this is Nacho Man Randy Savage, Cavs going to win it all baby, and eat Max's Nacho's...oh yeah"

What the hell, what's up with Kinsey?

The other players at least look intimidating, or look like they're doing something basketball related.

He's just standing there, doing nothing..

"Hail to the king baby"

or just "One Goal", works for me.

Perhaps the slogan should have been "Trust us"...

Team chemistry is the key to Cleveland Cavaliers record-setting season

Trust.

One word to define the season.

After a team dinner the night before training camp began, Cavaliers coach Mike Brown delivered a vital message to his players.

Brown told his players he believed trust -- trusting every teammate, trusting every coach, trusting all of the team's systems -- would carry the Cavaliers through the long season.

Trust became a season-long theme, from players choosing to spend more time together during free time, to Brown delegating more roles to his assistants, to creating "The Committee," a group of four veteran players who served as consultants to Brown on an array of his decisions.

Brown's mantra led the Cavs to a record-setting regular season and the top seed in the NBA playoffs, which begin this afternoon at The Q.

Trust.

On the eve of the beginning of training camp, Cavaliers coach Mike Brown huddled his team for their annual dinner with an important message.

During the course of a season, an NBA team literally has hundreds of meetings and eats even more meals together. So on its face, it was the first of many. But Brown considered this one special and not because it was the kickoff. It was not a party, it was all business.

Brown wanted to set the tone for the season and he had something he wanted to become embedded right away. Last season the Cavs had some chemistry issues with their team from the first day of the season on and it created tension that was never truly resolved. Some players were unhappy over various issues and it contaminated the team in varying degrees until the major midseason trade.

The Cavs coach had that on his mind, yes, but he had two other championship teams' missions in the brain, too. The Boston Celtics won the NBA title last season with talent and defense, two things the Cavs had as well, but also because from training camp on the team leaders created a deep bond that carried the team through its playoff run.

Then over the summer Brown saw the tight-knit group called the "Redeem Team" lift the United States back to Olympic champions by putting the team first and sacrificing individual interests for team and national pride. He knew just how deeply his star, LeBron James, had bought into that concept and how he'd embraced it.

So at this meeting, following dinner, Brown presented his beliefs to the team. He wanted them to build relationships on and off the court. He wanted them to have their teammates' interests next to theirs. In short, he wanted to build a trust that would combine the tangibles with the intangibles.

Brown was prepared to do his part and set the tone, to show it with actions. He delegated some key coaching responsibilities to assistants John Kuester, who was made the de facto offensive coordinator, and Mike Malone, who became the defensive coordinator. He increased the role of assistants Melvin Hunt and Chris Jent to make sure they were involved deeply in every decision.

Then Brown created what he called "The Committee," a group of four veterans in James, Mo Williams, Ben Wallace and Zydrunas Ilgauskas. He would consult with them on matters big and small. From rotation changes to travel plans to discipline to practice plans. Not only was he giving his leaders an ownership in decisions, he was showing trust that it would all be handled responsibly.

Within days the measures had made an impact on the team. Players were spending more time with each other. They were eating meals as a group, even away from practices. They were hosting parties at their homes. They were growing close and showing trust in the system and the ideas, it had taken root and started to grow.

It led to the greatest regular season in team history.

Not quite. That's just one side of the building. ;)
