While the Cavs/Griff made some mistakes this off season regarding the backup PG spot, let's see what transpires in the next few weeks.Teams are all chasing big name players right now.
Jimmy Butler for example. I think the Cousins trade makes teams feel like it's possible to acquire a star player at the deadline. Ibaka was also a bigger name that was moved.
Once we get down to the final 24 hours guys like Shumpert, Wilson Chandler, etc will become more likely targets for teams.
I think you meant minutes per game and I agree that a Delly type backup would be helpful so that Kyrie doesn't over-extend himself in the regular season...You need to get through the regular season fresh and healthy to have a chance in the postseason.
And with Delly last year Kyrie averaged 4 minutes ppg LESS than he's played this year...
I'd be interested, for a deal along similar lines to the Carmelo deal....

Question: Is there a rumored player that you wouldn't trade for? I mean I come on here and every day, it seems like you want to trade for every single player that is linked to a rumor. Why would you want to trade for Lopez? I get the impression that you're addicted to trades and the prospect of them.
You realize that trades should make your basketball team better in some way? How would loss of floor spacing and wing defense for a plodding center that is a terrible defender and rebounder with a long history of injury (including foot/ankle) improve the team?

I like a lot of trades because I don't rate Shump, Frye or Cedi that highly.
I think in the current configuration the Cavs will be huge underdogs against the Warriors.
Brooklyn wouldn't. Why would they be interested in role players?

You know that Brook Lopez shoots 3's now at a decent clip right?
Also, can't believe we traded two 1sts for friggin Mozgov.
Ok, I'll bite: how does Brook Lopez improve our matchup against the Warriors?
