Other alternatives to watch Cavs?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
So. I have a potential solution to this but it requires a YouTubeTV subscription. 2 years ago, I had Leage Pass through NBA.com and it was a complete disaster. Like you said, laggy, crashed all the time, etc.

However, you can buy League Pass through YouTubeTV for $15/month, and it’s life changing. Never lagged. Always crystal clear picture. It’s night-and-day better through YouTubeTV.

Between NFL Sunday Ticket and NBA League Pass, YoutubeTV has it together. Hope this helps!
This is good info. $15/month isn't bad, and I already have YouTube TV for the NFL. I'll need to figure out how to run my smart tv through my VPN and maybe I can use it in Ohio as well. Maybe smart-cast it from my laptop which has the VPN installed. Wheels are turning, I wasn't sure how to go about it with all the constant changes to broadcast options.

Yeah I can’t recommend YouTubeTV enough for how they have handled Sunday Ticket this year. Major improvement over DirecTV.

Their NBA League Pass is just as good.

There's only one thing I miss with streaming that I used to have with a DirecTV dish and DVR. The fast forward/rewind/pause/slow motion functions are shit with streaming video. With the old DVR setup I used to be able to re-watch a play in super slow motion, frame by frame if I wanted, and pause on an exact moment to see various elements of games. Streaming functions are crap, the on-screen controls black 1/3 of the picture when you're navigating. Streaming functions are only for navigating but not for enhancing how you can watch a replay of your choosing.

I took the plunge and paid for Bally. Took me a minute to figure out how to activate it on my TV. I swear the Cavs org must hates its fans for forcing such a shitty app and only way to watch on us.
Same. At $20/month I figure it pays for itself if I go out to watch them even one less time a month.

So far no problems with league pass, looks ok through yttv

All I know is, I did it the “right” way. Subbed to Ballys, tested preseason, success.

Today told me I was unauthorized. During an exciting season opener. I’m dumbstruck at how hard it is to watch my home team anymore.

I think all sports leagues really hate their fans judging by how hard all of them are making it for fans to access their teams and watch their games. Really it's across the board, and the only thing they care about is getting every last cent. But MLB and the NBA are screwing their fans, and by extension themselves, by not having readily available packages where fans can go to access the team they want to follow. These leagues are actually losing revenue they could be getting if they got their heads out of their asses and provided this.

I mean to tack onto things... I tried calling the customer service number for Ballys this morning, that THEY give you, and the number is freaking disconnected.

I have one way to ('legally') watch my team - and this is the podunk outfit that runs it? It just randomly tells you it doesn't work, it's impossible to talk to someone.. the Cavs and the NBA ought to be ashamed of themselves putting their fans through this.

Not sure where else to post this, but I was running into issues with NBA Season Ticket during last night's game. I was watching on my phone just fine into the second quarter and then it just stopped working. It was an unspecified general error that persisted for the rest of the game. I tried restarting. Logging in/out. Is this common? Does anyone else know how to resolve this issue? this is my first time using Season Ticket.

I saw this on another site so I dont know if this works since I am able to watch cavs games.

"A nugget of info for Cavs fans who don’t want to pay $20 extra bones a month for Ballys. I downloaded the Dofu sports app yesterday and was able to watch the Cavs/Nets tilt on YES. I didn’t have to put in a credit card or even a name. Just go to the live sports section at the bottom, peruse the games and you’re off and watching"
