Cavs finish regular season 45-37

Bucks, Celtics, 76ers, Knicks all a few games ahead of us. We finish in the same cluster as Atlanta, Brooklyn and Miami at 5-8. Orlando & Indiana are 9/10. Chicago, Toronto fall out of playoffs.

4-2 or 4-1 first round loss to 76ers

I don't think Okoro and JA are on the team beyond trade deadline
You're nuts.

I'm not one of those guys who thinks advanced stats are the end-all-be-all so far as determining a player's worth, but Allen was second behind Garland in terms of on/off numbers and Allen's impact on our lineup data indicates you'd be crazy to trade him. https://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/CLE/2023/lineups/

I agree. I believe trading either him or Okoro would be premature and out of pocket, but I believe both will be dealt before we see them being used optimally.

I feel like this a pretty pessimistic take. Even if there is no change in our offensive strategy from next year, I think we are clearly a top 4 team in the East. Mil Bos are obviously tier 1, but I think we are comfortably tier 2 with Phi. I expect Miami and NYK to drop off a bit and Atl to leap frog at least one or both of those teams.

Trading Okoro I think makes sense if the right offer is there...get me a wing taller than 6'7 but I do think we lose value on any Allen deal. Given the sobriety of our GM and the wild trades hes done in the past, we may just end up getting Embiid back somehow but other than that Im not sure there will be a deal for Allen that makes sense.

Embid, if the 76ers struggle this year and flame out, will be asking for a trade next summer. Allen/Okoro and picks for Embid?
Could happen!

I see no reason for the Cavs not to have the best record in the East this year.

The biggest glaring issue on this team was outside shooting, which was addressed brilliantly without changing up any of the core that made the Cavs a defensive juggernaut. I think its easy to gloss over the Cavs improvements, but to me they seemed like the exact type of moves that had to be made. Moving the bench guys all down a spot by adding Strus and Niang will allow for Okoro and Wade to be used as the role players they really are instead of asking for too much out of them, and that goes without evening bringing up LeVert now having a set role and contract.

Cleveland, Milwaukee, and Boston ALL got better, but the big difference is the Bucks and Celtics will take some games off as they rest some of their vets for the playoffs, which I believe allows the Cavs a chance to take the #1 seed.

This is out of pocket right?

Cavs finish 65-17, have the best health in years, Mobley posts a .209 ws/48 continuing his rise, Garland a .187 ws/48, getting into legit all star level play. Mitchell posts a .200 ws/48, the best of his career. It looks like the Cavs year. They blow out their first round opponent and get that monkey off. Beat a aging Bucks team as Lillard can't handle Garland. Mobley is now more than enough to slow down Giannis............................everything seems to be coming together. The Cavs vs. Celtics for the eastern crown. Gilbert drooling at the thought of reaching the Finals without Lebron. Lebron joins the announcing crew after his Lakers are gone in the first round(after a injury plagued year). During the early part of the series, he tries to be partial, but his fear of the Cavs winning starts betraying him. Only he can lead the Cavs to a title and finals, nobody else. He is warned to stop it, but can't. The Cavs get out to a 2-1 lead to only falter 2 straight. Its game 6 where the big 4 stun the Celtics in Boston that finally throws Lebron over the edge. He out right says he is rooting for the Celitcs because Dan aint' winning "sheet" without him. He is dragged off the broadcasting team..............game 7 in 2 days. We wait.

Futuredome with the win!

Garland, Mitchell, and Mobley all finish on an All-NBA team and/or all-NBA defensive team this year.

Cavs knock off Milwaukee in the postseason.

JBB wins coach of the year, much to the dismay of his critics, however also sealing his fate as a coach soon to be fired.

Garland becomes the face of the organization.

- Darius Garland makes the all-star team.
- Donovan Mitchell averages 30-5-4, makes the all-star team & 1st team All-NBA.
- Evan Mobley takes a huge leap, makes his first all-star team & becomes the focal point of our team.
- Jarrett Allen continues to live up to his contract.
- Our spacing gives the offense much more versatility.
- JBB wins coach of the year.
- Cavs win 55 games.
- They get to the ECF, losing to the Bucks.

- Cavaliers win in season tournament to complement the Summer League title
- Finish third in EC, get beat in five by sixth seed Atlanta in the first round
- JBB sings “Two out of Three ain’t bad” (meatloaf) after the playoff exit
- Emoni Bates throws meatloaf soup at JBB
- Koby comes out of his office and also throws meatloaf soup at JBB
- Koby and JBB fired, replaced by JR Smith and Mo Gotti, respectively
- John and Austin replaced by @RchfldCavRaised and @The Oi
- Serena replaced by Olga @Deezus

-Correlation implies causation
-Negatives are proven
-Line segments are mathematically trisected
-God-Damned MTV

My out-of-pocket expectation is that JBB develops effective rotations that are well balanced in terms of spacing and defense by using his bench well.
