ChicagoCavFan's Game Notes

1). Philadelphia plays New Orleans/Oklahoma City tonight (Tuesday) in Philadelphia, then travels to Cleveland for Wednesday night's game. They are severly undermanned. In Sunday's loss to San Antonio, Philly really only played 7 guys. Kevin Ollie and Rodney Carney were the 8th and 9th players off the bench, but combined for only 7 total minutes (4 and 3 respectively).

2). This game SHOULD be a win for the Cavs. Eric SHOULD be able to contain Andre Miller, who has taken the leadership role for the 6ers. This is also a home game for us, where we SHOULD expect to win every time - I believe we have won 26 of the last 30 home games, including Monday night's loss. We also play Philly again at their house on Friday night, on ESPN.

3). The Cavaliers have won back-to-back games against the 76ers with both wins coming at home. Cleveland has won those games by an average of 23 points per game.
· Over his last eight games against the 76ers, LeBron James has averaged 31.1 points, 7.1 rebounds and 7.6 assists per game. He put up a double-double of 25 points and 11 assists in Cleveland’s game against Philadelphia earlier this season (Nov. 25).
· The Cavs and 76ers play back-to-back games tonight and Friday in Philadelphia. It marks the only time this season Cleveland plays the same team in consecutive games.
· In the first game against Philadelphia this season, Zydrunas Ilgauskas posted 18 points and grabbed a season-high 15 rebounds.
· In his past seven games against the 76ers, Larry Hughes has averaged 25.0 points on .477 shooting and 6.6 rebounds per game. In two games against Philadelphia as a member of the Cavaliers, he has averaged 23.5 points in two games.
· Damon Jones leads the NBA in most three-pointers made by a reserve with 74. He has connected on at least two three-pointers in nine of the last 11 games.
· Of all players in the NBA that have started five games or less, Anderson Varejao leads that group in rebounds at 6.2 per game. He has grabbed at least six rebounds in seven of his last eight games.

Cavs - 104
Sixers - 92

You could almost call this a must win. We are playing a team actively trying to position themselves for the #1 draft pick. In saying that, the players have being playing tough with Iguodala, Miller, Dalembert and Korver all stepping up. Must though take these guys to regain some lost confidense. We should be a little refreshed being at home for a few day.

Time to execute.

We're most likely going to come out shooting jumpshots and we'll have to pull it out of our asses in the 4th if we decide we want the W or not.

sadly enough this is most likely the worst team in the league

and they have a 100 times better backcourt than we do

haha....

Eric Snow meet a good pg named Andre Miller.

Better win this game Cavs.

This has to be a win. Horrible team hoping for the lotto.

LeBron just seems to be content out there chucking away...he's had 1 or 2 shots that I've seen dribble dribble deep J.

Pretty disgusting that he is mentioned as an MVP Candidate on espn.com's poll he's been mediocre..well compared to last year.

Bullshit foul on Z. Too bad he was unstoppable with 10 and 3 in the first 6 minutes.

Whoever's doing the boxscore on NBA.com needs to wake up. Last time I checked 10 + 7 + 2 + 2 does not =20.

I don't care if this team comes back and wins by 35 points tonight. Changes have to be made.

I agree 100%. We are on pace to score 82 at home against a team that gives up 99.6 ppg and is on the second night of a back-to-back. Pathetic.

Tied both quarters and into the half. Geez. I refuse to believe Phili is just having a good night.
