I've only been to a couple of (regular season) NBA games ever ... so how does this work? Are they going to announce the dates for games A and B? If I sign up and pay for it right now, am I guaranteed a ticket to one playoff game no matter what?

Yes, you are guaranteed a seat to your choice of game A or B based on what you select. Game A is pretty much a lock to be on Saturday the 18th. I would expect Game B to be on Monday the 20th... these aren't the greatest seats, but I thought I'd point people here if they want guaranteed seats and don't want to spend a ton of money.

You don't think they'll play it on the 19th (Sunday)? I was thinking (hoping) that they may give the #1 seeds an extra day and also feature them on Sunday afternoon. That's what they did last year at least...

You are correct, it's definitely possible. It all comes down to what the networks think will give them the best ratings... still too early to know what that will be.

I got different passwords, to both of my email address.

I'm not purchasing any tickets for round 1, games 1 or 2.

You guys can have the passwords if need be, probably limited to 4 per password.

The passwords are NA and TSELA

They are case-sensitive.

Keep an eye on sites such as Stub Hub, Ticket City, Razor Gator or eBay. Sometimes you may come across a good buy but typically they are going for more than face value.

The sites others have mentioned are probably your best bet along with watching this forum to see if people post anything. The tricky part will be that game locations/times/opponents likely won't be set for those dates until after the first round starts to wrap up.

Still trying to figure that out. I want to come up for the game, but haven't figured the travel part out yet. Should know better once the schedule is set. I'll let you know as soon as I figure it out - prob late Weds night or Thurs morning.
