Ben Wallace has looked absolutely dreadful out there the past couple of games. At least now we have some possible clarity as to what's going on with him. Back spasms are no joke. Hopefully he can get some treatment and get back out there soon. Our big man depth we gained from this trade is already paying dividends.

All in all, it was a terrific defensive effort with more overall energy in the 2nd half. I'll take 80 points allowed any day of the week.

It was also nice to see Sasha running around pre-game firing up jumpers and looking good.

Only 1 more game left against the Western Conference.

He's in Wally World, dude... You can live however you want in Wally World...:chuckles:

You really know what you need to say every time...I am really in the Wally World now...This will be a good new day for me...Cavs will continue this winning streak...

Wallace out with back spasms..yuk..when will it end??

Great Game to watch as it showed that the Cavs can play defense without any defensive specialists on the floor. It looked like the Cavs were sleep walking in the first quarter. On offense they just ran the plays without taken advantage of any slight break down defensively. If Delonte is going to be the point guard and then just hand the ball off to Lebron and then Lebron just stops the play so the D can reset then whats the point of him wasting those 10 seconds giving Lebron the ball? Why not just have Delonte directly hand the ball off to Lebron as soon as he crosses the half court?

Anyway, I thought they kept the game rather close during this time and also again in the 3rd when they started doing it again. it seems to happen when Delonte dribbles around and doesn't make a play and then the ball finally goes to Lebron and the play resets to an isolation for Lebron. This must be part of the overall play because I doubt Lebron would just sit outside while the other four guys run around.

I thought the overall defense when Big Ben wasn't on the floor was pretty impressive. Save for a Aldridge making some 1st half shots the Blazers couldn't do much. Delonte played their PGs to their weaknesses. Devin Brown hassled Roy the whole game. Most importantly they withstood some early uncontested misses by the Blazers to contest almost every shot in the 2nd half. This is why it was a pleasure to watch.

The team readjusted itself defensively to start contesting the shots on the defensive end. I think that is why they gave up some offensive rebounds because they went hard at the shooters and drivers in help out and 1 on 1 situations.

Wally hit a big shot but i thought the game was over by then.

It is so obvious that playing Big Ben with Andy isn't a good idea. The whole board sees it and the crowd sees it. However, part of the problem is that Big Ben is just not finishes even the easiest of baskets. His offense is pretty pathetic despite playing decent in his first few games offensively.

Devin Brown again played a solid game but someone must tell him that if he is the first to get a semi open look, that that may not be the best shot. If only someone would tell him to make the extra pass to Delonte in the corner or back to the original passer, there would be a WIDE open look. I counted 2 times in the 3rd quarter where he took a shot at the top of the key when he could have easily made one extra pass to get a better opportunity. I guess however since he is shooting with out hesitating its better than him messing the play up by thinking.

Delonte had another dribbling turnover that they did not call. This time it was a double dribble. there might have been two of them. He needs to be on attack mode or eventually his weak 'dribble only' skills will be exploited. He needs to show the ability to attack the basket or the defense will exploit his weakness in dribbling. Even Austin carr pointed out that Delonte has to be more aggressive even it means him scoring more and not passing.

Joe Smith what can we say? What a solid role player he is. Guys like him and Haslem in Miami are hard to find these days. They both are mostly jump shooters but they are athletic enough on the defensive end to make a difference as well as on the offensive boards. Joe loves to use his fouls though.

Lebron definitely passed the ball better this game but I hate how he stands on the perimeter when delonte is handling the ball on some plays. HE is obvoiusly a decoy but still act like you are about to do something rather than just biting your nails.

I think these types of games are the types of games the Cavs need to play throughout the playoffs. The ugly games where if Wally, Delonte, Boobie get hot on the outside, it will be enough with Lebron being Lebron to win games as long as the defensive effort is there.
