Potential 2019 Head coaches for the Browns

My number one choice is definitely Riley.. But that never happens, so I honestly don't know who else I would want.

I expect Josh McDaniels will be a hot name. Along with Flip.

I would be OK with either of those guys. I really think they need a offensive minded guy, then let the defensive coach do his thing. Is Gregg Williams gone then after this season? I feel he's been pretty good.. I like him, and Todd Haley is solid. I think he needs to keep finding ways to put Mayfield in position to succeed, and things will change.

Looks pretty obvious Hue Jackson is gone soon, though. I wouldn't be surprised if he's gone Monday morning if the Browns can't beat the Steelers Sunday.

I think that depends on how bad they lose by. If they lose because the refs screw us again, I don’t think that would be a firable offense.

Let me rephrase my post, there..

I wouldn't be surprised if he's fired after a loss there. But I don't expect him to be gone win, lose, or draw.

At least not by that week. I can see the front office taking this to either the bye week, or just the rest of the way and letting Jackson know he's fired either before the final game, or right after.

He stays if he wins.
He's 50/50 if it's a close lose and there's more friction between him, Haley
He's gone if it's the 35-17 Steelers score that's predicted
...
Anyways...I don't know.
I don't see Riley. I don't. Again, OU is treated in this state in the most insane way possible.

I'm going to wait and see. Maybe one of these teams with a "decent" coach dumps him at the end of year, wildcard round or divisional round. Bonus points if it's someone from the Reid/Packers lineage.

My fear is Mike McCarthy. If the packers have another disappointing season he could be out with the new GM. He’s a big name but he’s not very good. His bland offense and inability to figure out his defense has held back Rodgers for most of his career. Dorsey would immediately hire him if he became available.

After that Colts nonsense I really can't see a team going after him. That was ridiculous.

Thought part of him returning to the pats was to have bill groom him for a hc gig down the road.......assumption time; to take over when bill hangs up the hoodie

Totally agreed.

Oh I'm sure this is the case. Doesn't make him less of a douche. You know its bad when your agent fires you which is what happened with JMcD

Campbell is the kind of disappointing nfl coach that will come after Riley’s success. If Riley succeeds in the nfl the league will start to poach a bunch of young up and coming college coaches who are Lincoln Riley lite.

Back up the Brinks truck for Riley.

If/when he declines, do the same for Flip. And pray he takes it.

I think there’s much more risk with Lincoln Riley than anyone is giving it credit for

I do too. The main thing Riley has going for him for me personally is the fact he's worked extensively with Mayfield.

I would rather have Flip.
