Definitely, in the 1st half, playing with JR, Green, Korver, and TT, he stayed out of the way, kept the ball moving and didn't take a single shot away from anyone else.
In the second half, playing with a lot of the youngsters and guys like Perk/Hollins, he kept the offense steady and moving and took and made the open shots when they were there.
If this were a regular season game against a team like Orlando, Chicago, or Indiana and Rose or Wade needed a rest night, play like this out of Calderon helps us win a game against a bad team, keep our important PGs fresh, and makes sure we stay at/near the top of seeding/HCA.
He simply has more value on this team as the 3rd PG on a team with 2 PGs ahead him that have injury history than RJ does as a 9th wing, who has good chemistry/presence, but would barely play in rest games anyways and would play ahead of Cedi if he did, which most people don't want.
The move makes sense.
