Tripleastacked there is a reason you don't take the media or satrday night life to heart since none of the shit is true.

Jesus, could O'Reilly be any less critical of Palin? How is it being 'too tough on her' to expect her to know basic geography??? Palin is a complete joke and one of the many reasons that McCain had no shot at winning. An embarrassment and an insult to the American public that she was thrown out there as a viable VP selection.

I love how O'Reilly's simple ass solution to this is "well, you could tutor her, she's not a dumb woman." First off, if she really thought South Africa was a region of the country Africa, yes Bill, she is dumb.

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/lj3iNxZ8Dww&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/lj3iNxZ8Dww&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Secondly, shouldn't geographical knowledge be a qualification to be Vice President of the United States? In fact, shouldn't it be one of the easiest, most basic qualifications? If you can just tutor her on what NAFTA is and how Fannie Mae works why not just select anyone for VP or President? Joe the plumber has a good image, I'm sure within 4-6 weeks we could teach him geography and how to run the country. O'Reilly taking orders from the higher-ups making sure not to tarnish the image of a possible 2012 candidate. What a joke.

The Republicans will be fine. As horrific as people paint the last 8 years and blame Bush and the Republicans, Obama only won 52-46%. With the economic tsunami, the war, the housing crisis, and Obama's kajillions of $$$ shouldn't this have been far more lopsided? The Dems had everything going for them and it was still fairly close. So the Republican party is far from sunk in my opinion.

Look, Obama has made some very very lofty promises. In 2012 the Republicans will have a lot of soundbites to choose from should he fail to deliver on them. He's promised no one making under 250K will have their taxes raised, he's also promised a trillion dollars in new spending....it will be very interesting to see how he makes the math work. The Dems have total control so it will be tough for them to give excuses if it doesn't.
Expectations have been set extremely high for Obama, now he has to deliver.

Maybe youre right. Im not so sure though. The republican party is normally a very well organized party and they arent the party i would expect to take a beating for a minute longer than they had to. I was just thinking the republicans might shift toward their classic roots and develop an economic model thats up to date with the modern global economy. When John McCain feels so strongly about a 700 billion dollar bailout package that he suspends his presidential campaign and hes talking about the government buying up peoples mortgages and stuff it kind of sounds the alarm that the free market system didnt work. I dont know man. Most people have short memories and are easily persuaded so maybe youre right. I just think it would be best for everyone if the republicans could shift to a more moderate platform.

i dont really think you can marginalize the junior senator barack hussein obama's victory over a bonefide iconic american war hero like john mccain. i mean just look at that sentence. seriously.

i think maybe i came off wrong in that last post. im not celebrating the republican party struggling. i want the republican party to thrive just not the type of conservatism weve seen lately. i hate hate hate the neocon karl rovean type stuff btu i really identify with the classic republican positions. pro gun rights, small government, fiscal responsibility and the belief that if you give things away to people the people recieving the handout will never lift themselves up. i mean i bleieve in common sense social programs (education, veterans benefits) but not frickin affirmative action or anything liek that.
