Quick, somebody in Boston snap a pic of KG and Paul's faces when they hear the news that Ray went to the dark side...

Just more confirmation unfortunately:

It's really Micky Arison's account, not a fake one. So, unless #20 refers to Steve Colter, the Heat have agreed to terms with Ray Allen.

Following Heat owner Micky Arison's tweet, several sources tell Yahoo! Sports Ray Allen has committed to Miami.

F the NBA.

Plus, we have the Lakers/Nets/Knicks all gunning to the next level for the super team now that Miami has proven it's reliable at winning a championship.

I'm dropping a grand on Boston next year, why not? My girl is from New England and that team is going to spit venom at the Heat...

Ray Allen turned down double the money, a no-trade clause and familiarity of Boston to sign with Miami. There has to be more to this story.

Adrian Wojnarowski‏@WojYahooNBA

Allen believes the capital he's built up playing for UConn and the Celtics would supercede signing with Miami. He's probably misjudged that.

Sounds like Allen is in for a rude awakening..

Wow:

The deterioration of Ray Allen's relationship with Rajon Rondo played a significant factor in his leaving for Miami, several sources tell Y!

The rich get richer.

In fairness though we were loading our roster with ring chasing veterans as well when we had the best record (ours came through trades instead of free agency) because it is how the system works.

Why would any vet not want to go to the team most likely to win it when the money is somewhat close? If you're going to play, might as well be with the best.

That's just too bad.

The new CBA is running at max efficiency.

I think the OKC core is the only thing that prevents MIA from dominating for the next 5 years. Not LAL, not BOS (even with Allen).

OKC or bust.

How dare an older player look to sign with a contender.

There's other contenders out there that could have surpassed the Heat had they signed Allen, just sayin'.

My only question is: Where was all this recruiting of Ray Allen by LeBron in 2005?
