My votes:

1. No one should be forced to keep someone. It is their roster. If I decide I would rather see how the draft plays out and what players fall in my lap, then so be it. If you actually think about it, there are hardly any bad keepers: unless they suck at fantasy football. So, if someone doesn't want to keep a player, that is to the benefit of everyone else. It makes better players available down the line in the draft.

2. Hell-to-the-f'ing-no you should not be able to trade players from last years roster that aren't keepers. That is one of the dumbest rules I think I have ever heard. The draft would take a major hit in talent and fun if that were to happen, in my opinion. Either jump the gun and take the player earlier than you have them ranked or trade for them during the season.

As I stated earlier, if there are rule changes, they need to be voted on a year in advance before the draft. Also, the rule changes need to be minor tweaks, not complete overhauls. If someone in the league doesn't like the rules, then open the spot up for someone else or as we have stated before: create a RBF "B League" or some shit and the winner of that is the one who is invited into the league.

Question, since I used both keepers last year on UDFA, I lost my last 2 picks. It used Rnd 13 on Baldwin and Rnd 14 on Barnidge. I only intend to continue to keep Baldwin. Does it automatically go up to 12th round or would it stay at 13th round?

This is why I tore my hair out being the around the horn pick last year. It's all about where you took Baldwin in the last draft, so by letter of the law it's a 12th rounder this year. I could have been burned by this as well if, say, my pick at the end of the 5th round was a great value but my pick to start the top of the 6th sucked.

Geez...just asking the questions that relate to other keeper leagues I've been in that allow for the trading of draft picks.

Don't be bitter because you suck at this game and aren't trying to maximize your team's chances for winning. That's the goal of these things, you know.

This does not appear to be a keeper league to me. It appears to be a league with a keeper option.

In a previous post you told me I had to pay for making bad decisions in the past. When the only decision I have made regarding this league was joining it.

Yeah I get I am new owner of an old franchise.

I am not asking out of the prior regimes trades or deals.

Nor am I asking for any special accommodation. I am just choosing this season to not take Keepers because I have to retool the roster. Those players contracts have expired and I am not paying for them anymore.


Could there be a diamond in the rough, absolutely.. but missing those diamonds in the rough of the current roster I have.

I am entering a draft of a league very familiar with each other in terms of the league. I do not have that familiarity and prefer to have all my picks available to me going into the draft as it gives me my best option to win.

I am the one taking the risk and going in without a safety net.

What I don't have is a 5th and 6th round pick and I don't feel any of my players on the roster picked below 5th or 6th are worth the 5th and 6th I have already lost just assuming ownership of the team.

My best player has been a keeper for 3 season and was acquiring for a 4th round pick.. I think I can do better on my 1st round pick.

Maybe I do and maybe I don't but the risk is all mine.

Do whatever you want with the keepers, but remember you have two picks in the 4th round and two picks in the 9th round. You have as many picks right now as everybody else, just none in the 5th and 6th rounds.

Judging by how ridiculously bad his dynasty team is (literally looks like he was just trying to outsmart himself. Which really shouldn't be hard for him but here we are) I highly doubt he would be able to turn around that team no matter what advantages you gave him

What that I drafted the last two number 1 overall picks in the last two NFL drafts in a dynasty league?
or that I got projected elite level production in 5 out 13 slots that accounts for 38% of my points.
Yeah my team isn't flashy but I like it.
I don't mind taking risk. the team might fall flat their face. guys can get hurt no matter how well you draft .
The draft itself has been a lot of fun. I am looking forward to this 2nd draft but I don't think you need to worry about me taking JJ watt or Myles Garrett,

Draft order is going to be established after the keepers are set this year. Last year we tried setting the draft before finalizing keepers, but it gives the higher picks even more of an advantage, letting the draft order dictate the keepers. So, draft lottery will be held in about a week.
