UnderConstruction: B+
Cavsfan1985 has put together a pretty nice roster here. He's taken advantage of having back to back picks every other round to add some serious talent to his team. He also lucked into the number one pick in the draft, awarding him with Odell Beckham, arguably the most valuable asset in dynasty football right now.
If I have any complaints, it's probably with the depth at his WR position. Moncrief is a touchdown machine (albeit a very inefficient one) when Luck and he are both healthy, but that hasn't happened much yet. Perriman seems to be made of glass (which sucks, as I own him in my other league!) and is constantly on the sidelines with one injury or another. Ginn is old, although he should produce at least this year in that Saints offense. Edelman is old and constantly taking huge hits, which may shorten his shelf life.
I really like this team's RBs, though. While there's not a lot of depth there, he's got three guys who are young and have a ton of potential in Mixon, Fournette, and Montgomery. Montgomery should be in line for a lot of touches this year after switching to RB last season, while Fournette and Mixon are two of the three best prospects from this year's talented RB class (with McCaffrey being the other). Woodhead probably won't be around much longer, but in the short term he's got the green light for a ton of targets in Baltimore with Dixon out for the year. Barring injury, he'll almost certainly be a valuable flex play all year. Unfortunately, I think Charles is done and may end up being a wasted pick.
And while UnderConstruction lacks depth at the TE position, I love Austin Hooper, and he seems to be in line for an increased target share this season. I'm less sold on Fleener, but the Saints didn't sign him to a five year deal for nothing, so perhaps he proves me wrong and has a great year. He's at least in a dynamic, high-scoring offense, which gives him potential.
Perhaps the greatest strength of this team, though, is at the quarterback position. Luck and Brees are two of fantasy's best QBs. The down side, of course, is that these are his only two QBs, and with Luck almost certainly missing week one and possibly several games, cavsfan1985 could be finding himself in the unenviable position of an early 0-2 or 0-3 start to the fantasy season. Further, there really aren't any remaining promising QBs in the draft, which means that this issue is unlikely to be addressed before the season starts.
All in all, though, this is a good team from top to bottom. If Luck can stay healthy and get on the field early in the season and at least one of his rookie backs pans out, I fully expect this to be a playoff team.
Favorite Pick(s): Ty Montgomery (#73) & Austin Hooper (#169)
Both great values for guys who should see increased opportunity this year.
Least Favorite Pick(s): Julian Edelman (#97)
Don't hate Edelman, but there were better and/or younger WRs still on the board at this spot like Eric Decker and Jamison Crowder, along with high-potential guys like DeVante Parker.
