I dont really get the purpose of this trade, it is way too lopsided to me and Im going to have to put my vote in as veto. I cant see myself letting this trade go through in fairness of the league. Its a loss, 74-135 of 61 points. Add to it, talent/name alone I cant see why it would be done. Joe and Tatum are both on teams with RB by committee. Tony is a much better TE than Smith, just hasnt had the oppurtunities thus far this year and why is Reggie Bush in this picture? If it was Bell and Smith for Gonzo and Addai Id let it go through.

Yea, I'm with you A Mac.. I really don't get this trade for PIP..

If PIP wants my okay, then he'll have to give me a pretty good reason why...

In this case, PIP, I'll take Bush.. :)

I think it's a fair trade, and not lopsided at all.. Point values per player is irrelevant at this point.. It's about on field production..

If I felt I was getting screwed, I would have declined the deal... Kinda like the one you proposed to me, Mac...

Cooley is my main TE

I need to open some room for Maurice Jones-Drew as mr WR/RB and I need another consistent RB.. (Bell)

Bascially, the deal is Bush and Gonzalez for Smith and Bell... Addai hasn't done much to even warrant being a deal sweetner.. I think it's a fair deal..

Also, I proposed the deal to Joma... He didn't come to me with the deal...

And how can you say on one hand that if it was Addai and Tony G for Bell and Smith, it's cool... Bell leads the NFL in YPG or rush.. He's damn good.. If that was the deal, I would be absolutely raping Joma..

I'm going to vote Yes simply because I don't think it's really any of the other owners business whether a trade goes through.

It seems lopsided to me but you don't see the Red Sox stopping the Yankees from making trades, the only time anything should stop a trade is if it's an objective 3rd party.

If bother owners agree it should pass..

Okay-

Somebody please explain to me how this deal is lopsided.. I want it thoroughly explained to me..

Cause in my estimation, you guys are either severely underrating Tatum Bell, or you're severely overrating Bush and Addai

IMHO.. It's the big point differential... joma is gaining a lot of points...

So nobody can give me a true explanation ?

If you look at the positions needed in all fairness i think it works for both teams

lol...if you want it that bad you can have it.

Not that my opinion means jack, as I'm not in the league, but if you didn't want outsiders in your business you should of posted this sort of thing on your league board. :)

Anyway, I'm with cdt. I don't think league votes are there to stop one owner from putting the screws to another. If one owner hood winks another, so be it. The purpose of the vote, in my eyes, is to stop unsportsman-like activity, ie. two owners conspiring to win it all with one team. (Usually only a concern in money leagues.) I don't think that's what's going on here.

And Lepip, I don't think it's as one sided as everyone is making it out to be. Previous point production isn't the issue, it's projected future production. What they did in the past doesn't matter, as they did it for the teams they were on, not the teams they're getting traded to.

McNabb is having an MVP year, and the Chiefs have a career backup at the helm. Add in that Gonzo is looking old, and I honestly think LJ is now the better TE. Also, now that Bell is the man in Denver, he's clearly better than Addai. So far Lepip is on top. Then you toss in Bush, and the trade is skewed back in favor of Joma, but not as bad as Mac was making it sound.

My $.02

That's pretty much how I feel.. Sure, both Bush and Addai can breakout, and Tatum could really start to fall off.. But, that's my problem.. And I honestly think they'll start to pickup.. However, the Saints have some tough defenses coming up, so I thought it might have been in my best interest to unload Bush now..

Also, I think if a trade is in process, and both parties explain why the deal was made, then I think it should go through...

Obviously, if somone was trading Tomlinson, Mcnabb and Ward for Gore, Keyshawn, and Losman, then it should raise a red flag... But I tried my best to explain to you guys where I was coming from..

If you look at both of our rosters and how they're constructed, it works for both of us... The only true RB that I have is LJ.. I needed another runner, and Tatum provides that for me..

To put it in basketball terms from last season...

Rashard Lewis and Antoine Walker had way more fan value than say a Boris Diaw and Mike James prior to the draft, but who would you have rather had during the season ?

Too early to tell.. Lookin' good thus far though...

Me..:thisguy: you
