Been dealing with family stuff so haven't been on RCF much lately. Can't believe I got in the finals.

Karma, we have a classic epic battle shaping up.

An actual showdown. Still like 4 categories easily up for grabs.

Meanwhile I'm obliterating the ghost of Jigo's team for that coveted 5th place finish.

No congratulations posts this year? Come on now, I know the favorite lost early :chuckles: but Narls earned his first, and long time coming championship and deserves a shout-out.

Some highlights that led to the victory:
Drafting Cousins (28), Marion (156), and Markieff (165).
Making probably the best FA add of the year in Terrence Jones.

A very well-rounded team that was top-3 in 7 categories, and top-8 in 11.


Now, on to those punishments.

I'm glad two of the classiest posters on RCF made the finals, congratulations to Narl. I believe that makes one championship in the football league and one in hoops, correct? BTW, you are allowed to post at least one gloating post right now...

Thanks. Been away for a while dealing with some stuff. Can't remember if I won in football or not. I actually had a great year in fantasy hoops winning all 3 private leagues I'm in every year. Of course that means next year I'll struggle. I did send my resume in for the Cavs GM job highlighting my stellar fantasy record.

The league is about ready for renewal - and I just don't have the time to commish this year. I took it over for a season while Kyp was on hiatus, but believe he might be back. Let me know if you want it back - or if I should renew the league and transfer the commish responsibility to someone else...

I don't think I'm gonna have the time to commish either, but while we're discussing, just wanna put in a request to do the draft after Oct 18 if possible. I'm out of town leading up to that. As long as that works for everyone else.

I have a lot of experience as a commissioner, but I also have the lowest post count in the league so it might be kinda weird. I could at least help out around draft time so we avoid issues like last year though.

One thing I could help organize, which we do in my other league, is we predetermine the draft order a week before. Not only is it super helpful for people who can't attend and have to pre-rank, but it allows a week of trash talking and strategizing as you try to guess who so-and-so will take with pick 5. Plus your research is more efficient because if you have picks 16/17 there is no use debating where Kevin love should go. With the size and intelligence of this league I think it would be a perfect fit, but if people prefer finding out 30 minutes beforehand that's cool too ;-).

Either way, I can help out the commish with the nitty gritty if they give me 'co-commish' powers, which lets you do minor adjustments like draft time and the like.

Agree - I've never commish'd a league....just play in them. Jigo has a lot of experience running a league as well, but he has his own too.

Agree also on after Oct 18 - that is actually my wedding day. I would suggest anytime after that Wednesday (Oct 22) (selfish reasons - mini-honeymoon).
