Yeah, I just didn’t see anything from him last year. His technique - while an advantage in college - didn’t matter as much in the NFL. Having an interior pass rush would be a feeling I haven’t felt for a lot of years.As you probably remember, PFF went googly eyes for Eliott his two years at Missouri going against stiff SEC competition. They ranked him with first round production on his film study.
Nothing impressed me with Elliott as a rookie. He rotated in behind Richardson with minimal disruption. But what we are hearing from Chris Kiffin bumps Elliott up to the short list of intriguing young Browns. Lighter and quicker is needed next to all the attention Clowney and Garrett are about to attract.
It’s a make or break year for him. I doubt he lasts much longer in the NFL if it’s more of the same.
