So much talk on if he is leaving, why he should leave, where he should go etc. A discussion on why lebron should stay would be worth while.
Il kick it off in no particular order
#1 Gm lebron- he has maximum control over the franchise right now. He can pick the coach, the roster, game style , manage minutes etc. If he were to leave and go somewhere like houston that already has its stars, he wont have that control. The org would do everything they can to accommodate lebron but its hardens team and they would make sure to keep him happy as he has been there the longest/ brought them decent success
#2 Age- believe it or not he isnt getting any younger. Doesnt make a whole lot of success to leave now and go somewhere like the lakers where he has immense pressure to take them to the promised land. Not ideal as a player enters into the twighlight of his career
#3 Legacy- it would hurt his legacy more of he left and joined a super team and won a ring, rather than stay at the cavs and get knocked out early. Leaving would just give the haters (aka jordan swallowers)ammunition that he was admitting defeat, taking coward option etc...obviously that isnt true but its what the masses would use and that would get attached to his legacy forever.
#4 Eastern conference- the west is stacked! Right now the 80% of the leagues biggest stars are out there. As he ages, it will become more imperitive that lebron chooses when to expend energy, when to rest, when to take the foot off the pedal etc. That task becomes a hell of a lot harder when his team has to face the likes of curry, durant,AD,Kawhi, lillard, butler, towns, harden, paul, westbrook, george on a nightly basis and 4 x a year. He could of coarse stay east and go to philly but stylewise its just not a good fit. Simmons cannot shoot well enough for he and lebron the court.
Im sure theres more hut after just finishing night shift thats the best ive got right now.
Hopefully a few others have some different and better reasons!
