Red Dead Redemption

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I really enjoyed the story and I am mainly an online multi-player type of guy but this story mode was pretty good....
Speaking of multi-player RDR's was fun for about 5 min. :thumbdown

overall 8/10 would have been a 9 if multi player was better...

PS The DASTARDLY achievement is the coolest achievement I have ever actually tried to get.

On the multiplayer point, have you downloaded the free Co-op DLC? I wasn't a big fan of the multiplayer either, it's had it's moments, but the new free DLC is VERY GOOD.

It's mission based and adds an element of team work because if a fellow posse member is shot down, the rest of the posse has about a minute to revive him before he's dead.

I disagree that the missions were repetitive. There was quite a bit of variety within the missions.

About 9 missions out of 10 followed the same pattern. You talk to someone, then you ride to some place, shoot few bad guys and ride back. Thats about it. Really, why can´t they make the missions more like RPG with different ways to solve given problem? Now the gameworld is very entertaining but the mission really, really thin on substance.

I have DL'd it but have yet to play it..
I'll probably just trade it in for a down payment on NBA Elite

How many different ways can you initiate a mission? It's the Wild West, of course you're going out to shoot someone.

However, there is a variety of missions and ways you go about doing it.

There is also more variety than just going out and "shooting" someone..

to each their own though.

I have a problem with open ended games that have to take control away from the player in order to push the plot forward or force an ending.

This game fell off with me. I played it, and beat it, and now i can't play it anymore. It lost its appeal.

It was fun while it lasted but there was no replayability or anything, multiplayer was kind of fun but got boring really quick.

I'm officially trading it in today, i pre-ordered madden so i might as well get some cash to use on it.

Multilayer is fun if you have real friends to play it with.

Definitely. They just released more DLC, but I haven't checked it out yet.. Supposedly some bigger DLC is coming out later, similar to the two new story mode DLC's that came out for GTA IV, which is lone enough reason for me to continue to hang on to this gem.

MP has been a blast with friends though. Getting the 6 person carriages and wreaking havoc on gang hideouts/other posses is pretty damn fun.
