Greggg never left the building

No way Gregg steps back down into that role for us, and I don't know why we would want him anyways since that side of the ball held us back at times.

Not only is Gregg not up to par as a DC, he was interim head coach and that could cause sticky situations next year if he were to come back and Kitchens/Stefanski would fail.

Nah, he's mostly likely gone and rightfully so, his side of the ball underachieved if they weren't getting turnovers. Injuries or no injuries, coaching prevails on that side. Talent helps, but being put into right spots also succeeds. Greg deserves nothing from Browns, just funny messing with people about him.

I am torn, I like them both, but starting to like Stefanski based on what I have read about a CEO and big picture view, who has an offense mind. If you keep Kitchens for a year or two I think he would be able to backfill him as we he still has an offensive mind. The worry on Kitchens is while I agree he can call plays can he lead a team and have the attention to detail that this team needs to be successful.

Smooth covered some of the defensive possibilities already, so if I copy some of what he said, I apologize..

Bill Davis is leaving OSU to pursue NFL jobs. He has a previous tie to Kitchens.

As does Teryl Austin.

I'm sure those are two names that will be tossed around or at least brought up.

This new. I thought he wanted Haley? I don’t think Stefanski is being interviewed twice to be OC. We’ll see.

First interview may have been head coach. Second interview/meeting could be to tell him they're taking Kitchens, but asking if he'd like to be the OC. I doubt they'd have asked him about an OC position the first time around.

Not saying that's what's actually happening. Just saying it's a plausible scenario for a second, OC interview.

Hell no to Bill Davis. If you listen to the bucknuts morning 5 podcast, they have been praying he left after the season weekly. He was in Myers wedding, not a good coach.

Lbs have never looked worse or more confused in my history of watching Ohio state football. Day was nice , but I was told his first move on defense was to get Davis as far away from campus as possible.

Agreed, just throwing a couple names with prior Kitchens connections out there that we could potentially hear.

Bill Davis was crap at OSU as a LB coach. How is he considered NFL DC material?

I never said he was. See my above answer. Just threw out a couple names we could potentially hear due to having Kitchens connections.
