Series #22 - Indians @ Minnesota

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
He hits the homer, but all at bat he's dropping his back shoulder way more than he was at the beginning of the season, and it seems like he's intentionally doing it to get under balls, which will help with his power, but will cause him to be "off" in terms of timing.

I haven't been keeping up outside of weekend games. Has this been a consistent thing anyone else has been noticing? I've seen a lot about how he's become a pull hitter.

go to 2:31 in the video. Look how level his shoulders are.
He has been passed by Jose Ramirez in terms of importance to this team. The WBC have him a taste of the big-time, like LBJ and the Olympics, his heart is now elsewhere. He became BFFS with Cleveland hater Carlos Beltran and now knows the big money lies in power numbers- he has visions of 9 figure contracts and big city lights.

Or maybe he is latest of MLB players to buy-in to the "Fly Ball Revolution"...that could be it too.

I've noticed a trend and the question must be asked: are the Indians better without Michael Brantley? Discuss
Lol. I think they are defensively, actually- kind of looking forward to him moving to 1b hopefully next year. He just doesn't cover ground well anymore out there. Been nice to have his bat back though.

You don't say???

Well I technically didn't say it, but I typed it in this forum!

I am glad to see the bats starting to come alive again, can they keep it up at a good clip is the biggest question. The pitching overall has been much better of late, so let's see those bats come alive in the clutch!

Lol

How can one hit a homerun off Kershaw but bat a buck forty?

The strange season of Roberto Perez.

Encarnacion goes yard, and the Tribe is on the board!

It'd be really nice if Lindor could just improve to mediocre or passable with RISP

Ouch. Missed a chance to really bust this game open right there with Robertson GIDP with the bases juiced

I can try to update this weekly; don't think these stats include today's game
