According to Windhorst:

Cavs went from having 2 centers to none. Shaq is out with a bad thumb sprain. Won't be back tonight and maybe not for awhile.

Re: Shaq - out with thumb sprain

Hurry back, Z... :chuckles:

Re: Shaq - out with thumb sprain

At least our interest in Z will look more genuine :chuckles:

Re: Shaq - out with thumb sprain

Bad news I think 8 weeks.

Re: Shaq - out with thumb sprain

Kobe would still be playing right now

:D

Re: Shaq - out with thumb sprain

So now a much easier month of March is going to be a struggle until we get a center back. The sad reality is I think it could be Z before Shaq...

Ugh, this hurts big time if it's as "significant" as they emphasis.

Re: Shaq - out with thumb sprain

Brown loves Andy off the bench so will he back to Hickson as an undersized center?

Will be interesting to see our lineup the next few days. Powe is gonna get some burn which is a plus for having him as a contributor come playoff time.

?????? 8 weeks for a thumb sprain ???????

I'm thinking it could be 3-4 weeks but a.) I have no idea and b.) 3-4 weeks just *sounds* like a worse case scenario for a thumb sprain.

Re: Shaq - out with thumb sprain

No problem, we'll just let Amar'e play more and keep building his chemistry. Perfect time forhim to step up.

Oh wait...
