I like him a lot, but he probably doesn't have much of a place on the Roster with the picks we made.

Not to mention he doesn't fit Beileins system. Beilein wants knock down shooters on the wing. I liked Nwaba but I said right after the draft I didn't see the fit with Beilein as the HC.

We saw it limited us last year, it was just he was the only guy that could defend. I think he gets there tho. His % isn't bad. Needs to take more 3's

This is a favor to him. He worked hard for us. The team is going a different direction and they are opening up his roster spot. I think he deserves it. These weird contracts where you are a RFA 2x are bad.

This makes much more sense. Maybe they can retain him still. Good luck to him wherever he lands, is a hard worker.

I think this makes sense for both sides. Let Nwaba go out on the open market and see what he can get. The Cavs don't have any obligation to hold his roster spot and if someone in free agency or undrafted in summer league is a better fit, they can sign that player and not feel bad for killing Nwaba's market with the QO.

His versatile on defense is nice but he is an odd fit for most teams. He needs to be a better 3 point shooter.

I am a massive fan as you can see by the posts I have made in this thread about him, sad to see him go but we are at the start of a rebuild and it was always unlikely he would be a long term piece. Good luck to him

I guess the Cavs didn't want to keep him. He is a player that will most likely give more to a contender than a rebuild team.
