So Long, James Jones

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: Welcome James Jones!

Last season was technically the best year of his career as he posted a 15.4 PER and 0.147 WS/48

Re: Welcome James Jones

I hope Jones and Miller (and possibly Ray-Ray) can help all our young guys with their shooting.

These guys can help develop Wiggins, Dion, and company while adding valuable playoff experience to the team. Great signing, good job Lloyd!

Re: Welcome James Jones

How are they going to divide the minutes with all these wings? James should never complain going forward about having to play too many minutes during the regular season.

Re: Welcome James Jones

Adding much needed shooting. Let's hope Ray is next. Um, Griff, you know we need bigs right?

Re: Welcome James Jones

Well, we now have our man to come in off the bench maybe once a week when we desperately need a 3!

Re: Welcome James Jones

Yeah, we really should be hoping this guy never plays. But at least LeBron recruited him, so we have that.

Re: Welcome James Jones

You've got to think this means Ray is out.

If we sign Harris and Powell we'd be at 14 players on our roster and we need a vet center more than anything else now.

Re: Welcome James Jones

The big question is why he didnt do this the first time around? Maybe this should put an end to the concept that players wont come to Cleveland to play even with James.

Lebron and Wiggins will probably be starting. Miller would be the first one off the bench. Jones I can see playing is certain situations depending on matchups. Joe Harris will probably be in Canton all year.

Maybe they can get rid of Felix or maybe one these 2 guys will not be on the team.

Re: Welcome James Jones

And now its time to introduce your.....Cleveland Heat!!!! :chuckles:

Good signing though. An end-of-the-bench vet who can shoot. Sounds good to me.

Re: Welcome James Jones

We are really going to be good in garbage time this year.

Re: Welcome James Jones

Well now we have 14 guys assuming we sign the rookies. Although from what I've seen of Powell (even though it is very limited action) he might not make the team. Same with Felix even though his money is guaranteed.

Obviously a Love trade is still in the cards too which would shake up the roster.

Allen can come for the vet min if he wants to.

Sounds like we are still shopping or keeping the 1.5 million of cap. I'd imagine we'd be looking for a big but the market is pretty thin there.

By all accounts Jones is a great locker room guy so that should help a lot.
