Songs you're ashamed to love

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
http://youtu.be/iR64lF2agbM

I can't embed at the moment, but this might be the most impressive combination of good music and absolute shame I've ever experienced.

I am not really embarrassed or ashamed about any music I like, no matter how odd or cheesy as it may seem. For example, I am going through this phase of loving female vocalists from virtually every genre: Neko Case, Lorde, Solange, Karin Dreijer Andersson, Ellie Goulding, ZZ Ward, Lauren Mayberry, Corrine Bailey Rae, St. Vincent, Janelle Monae... I could seriously list about 30 others that I love right now.

This song is the bomb.

Who else do you have on that list of yours that is similar to Neko Case? I'm digging her.

She's honesty so unique, it's hard to compare her to others. I saw her at Coachella in April and she sounds fantstic live. She was in The New Pornographers so you might like some of their stuff, but their sound is a bit more indie. She's very alt-country / Folkish, so you could look in the direction of acts like The Corn Sisters, Jenny Lewis, The Watson Twins and acts like that. if you are unfamiliar, just look some of those names up.

Good call on Jenny Lewis and Corn Sisters (which isn't surprising given who one of the twins is). Here are a few in my playlist: Amy LaVere, Sara Jarosz, Sahara Smith, Lydia Loveless (earlier stuff), Jill Andrews/Everybodyfields, Eilen Jewel
