Star Trek writers / show runners need to go to the desert and find the Orb of the Emissary. Free Benny Russell!

I have watched it!I'd recommend the DS9 documentary if you haven't watched it. If only for where the writers do a mock pilot for a new season. It was worlds better than what garbage Kurtzman and co. are churning out.
I have watched it!
It was great!
So much talent on that show. The 8th Season sounded like a brilliant idea.
It is a rare show where guest stars are so well embedded into the tapestry of the series that they are popular decades after.
What would DS9 be without Garak, Dukat, Winn, Weyoun and of course the greatest Cardassian hero/Lush, Legate Damar.
DS9 had Scorpio from “Dirty Harry”, Nurse Ratched from “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest”, President David Palmer’s wife from “24” and the father from “Breaking Away” - all in recurring roles. Put good actors and good scripts together and you get a fine outcome.
Every scene Garak is in is pure gold.
Don’t forget General Martok, The Grand Nagus, Quark’s idiot brother and of course Nog and Vic who put together a masterful show on the mental aftereffects of war. Morn should be mentioned but the actor never could remember his lines.I have watched it!

He was such a chatterbox.Morn still had the most memorable lines in all of Star Trek despite that.
Everyone has a favorite quote or memory from Morn.
You'll love DS9.I put this in the TV Shows thread when it should have been here.
My daughter (home from college) wanted to watch the original Star Trek series this summer. I grew up on that show. I was 3 when it came out, then watched it a few other times, but it's been decades since I watched it. Some of the episodes I remember quite well, but I'm surprised at how many of them I either don't remember at all or only remember a small amount. So I'm having a lot of fun watching it again. I don't think I ever watched the "The Cage" before, only the clips they used for The Menagerie, which were two of the episodes I rememeber well.
She wanted to watch them so we can watch the movies. Only 3 seasons, 79 episodes. Not sure what to do when we get to Generations movie because Star Trek TNG has 178 episodes. Probably save that for next summer.
Those are the only two series I watched completely. I never watched DS9 because I didn't think it would be as good since it wasn't a spaceship and somehow then never watched the other series because I hadn't watched that.
My son & daughter in law started watching TOS but were put off by the microskirts and stopped watching.I put this in the TV Shows thread when it should have been here.

that's what people wore in the 60sMy son & daughter in law started watching TOS but were put off by the microskirts and stopped watching.
As far as not watching DS9 - that's like watching Sexton, Garland and Okoro but not liking this Mobley guy because he's taller than 6-4.
