This kid won the Division I 100-meter and 400-meter state titles as a sophomore. He weighs a legitimate 205 lbs and is that fast. Saine is a freak, and he's coming in just one year after OSU took the number 1 player in the nation who also plays his position. We are soooooo stacked at RB. In 2007, we'll still have Pittman (he'll be a senior), plus Chris Wells, Mo Wells, Saine, and Eric Haw, who just happened to be the number 1 tailback taken in the draft for the spring game. In other words, Haw is damn good too.

I think this is the most stacked I've ever seen us at the RB position. And just think, we'll be pairing that up with the most explosive player in college (Ginn) and a guy who's broken every QB record against michigan (Smith). :thumbup:

Per the Bucknuts radio hour, Saine is:

* The defending 100m state champ
* The defending 400m state champ
* National indoor champ 60m

Hmmm, fastest kid in the nation in 60m? Yeah, that could be useful on the football field! :thumbup:

Also, got word from an inside source that the coaching staff views him as a WR, not an RB, and that he's the next Ginn. :eek: :thumbup:

What if Ginn and Saine lined up on opposite sides of the field on one play? I think that would spread out the D.

Some of those players will transfer.

Maybe, but not likely. Transfers happen alot less than people think/discuss. Think about what a pain in the butt it is to uproot your life and switch to another school, when there are no guarentees that you will be any higher on the depth chart at the new school. You have to start over, learn a new system, get familiar with new coaches and teammates, you come in at the bottom of the depth chart, and you have to sit out a year to boot! Unless of course you're not transfering to a Div I school, in which case, what's the point? You have a better shot at making the nfl as a backup at OSU than as a starter at Youngstown State. Does it mean that much to you to get to see the field against inferior competition?

Most of the attrition OSU sees is due to grades or discipline. There are very few kids that transfer b/c they're not getting PT. I can only think of 1 in the last 4 years.
