Last night was Angel Gray’s last sideline reporting job for the Cavs. She is leaving to go back to the 4-letter-network and I wish her all the best! In the time she did the reporting for the Cavs, she continuously showed her knowledge of the game and especially when she was in the booth on rare occasions during telecasts. We have been very fortunate to have back to back sideline reporters that were not only knowledgeable but were VERY attractive. Now, we get Andre Knott who does the Indians/Guardians sidelines. I like Andre but, I hope this is temporary.

Again, good luck to Angel and we will miss you!

Let the Andre Knott-era begin!! Hopefully AC and not-Fred let Rick Manning sit in to bust Andre's balls all game.

Brad was perfect last night. The Cavs should slowly transition away from Carr and bring on Brad full time.

I wonder if that has been the plan all along. I would hate to have to be the guy telling Austin Carr "Sorry, we have to let you go"...

He's 73, I would imagine he would want to hang it up soon?

Walt Frazier is 76. Why hang it up ? He gets to hang around the game he loves.

I would be nice about it. Let Carr work until he's ready to retire or just isn't up for the task. He sounds much more happy with Brad in the booth.

Most people like to retire by 63, much less 73. I suppose the proof is in the pudding, and if he wanted to retire, he would. I can't imagine the constant traveling at that age.

Pretty sure he's expressed privately that he doesn't have the heart to continue calling games without Fred.

I suspect he flies with the team. Flying corporate with ground travel arranged is so nice. I’ve only done it three times but it’s a different world. Still tiring but avoiding the airport / rental car hassle is a big deal.

Maybe so, but he’s still going strong. When you’re older you adjust to losing people to some extent. It’s hard but you either keep living or you don’t.

I'd expect his retirement whenever his current contract ends.

Very true...I did it once (thanks COVID / corporate jet!)

Better yet I live in North Canton and the corp jet is hangared at Akron Canton when it's in town. Literally left my house at 905 and in the air at 930.
