??
Also Stan Van is one of the best father figures in the league
yep. said pretty much the same thing in another thread the other day. their off-season personnel moves - both addition and subtraction - were fantastic. morris, ilya, and johnson were huge upgrades, and it was time to end the monroe/drummond experiment. they are going to be good this year and surprise a lot of people. real bright future too.The thing is he has Ersan, Tolliver and Morris to play 4 near him so he has the space to roll and do other stuff in the paint. Also Stan Van is one of the best father figures in the league and i can bet that he'll use those guys and get the best from them better than anybody else would. So i'm looking for the Detroit matchup at playoffs cuz it'll be really fun
*waves hand*How convenient of you. Just totally brush aside two posters (Tornicade and Futuredoe) that completely showed what an ass of an initial post that you made. Next time be a little more careful so you don't have to backtrack and make ass of yourself. I was one of the first and probably the most vocal about drafting Drummond. It was fun arguing with so many people lol. But the best gotta be Torn. I asked him to put money where his mouth is and proposed a bet to donate to RCF with the success/failure of Dion and Drummond. But similar to a coward (not calling him one now lol), he didn't accept since he knows he's all bark and no bite. You call this my hobby and I say sure, it makes my day to provide entertainment. It's all good, don't take anything personal. Only a damn message board where you can vent and fuck around and call people out on their stupidity lol.
i don't like this line of thinking as it implies teams selecting ahead of detroit were operating optimally, which wasn't the case and rarely is the case in drafts. were there question marks? of course. but were they accurately evaluated by those teams (and the public as a whole, for that matter)? or is it more likely they maybe misjudged and were a tad overstated? i mean that is the whole concept of prospect evaluation and scouting in the first place. someone not-so-good at the job might've thought he had an 90% chance of busting because of those question marks, so they passed. does that mean they were right? nope.Cool. Good luck defending Andre. He was the 9th pick in the draft which shows that there were plenty of question marks at the time. Had he had a better year at UConn, he goes #2 no question. That's on him. I'm glad he has turned into a very good player. He was always thought of as a boom/bust guy, so the fact that he is booming isn't exactly a surprise.
So enjoy. I'll go back to the Cavs section and let you lord over the Drummond thread.

43 minutes played, 25 points on 12/17 shooting, 29 rebounds. +8 point differential.
Team loses by 12. Yikes.
What's a guy gotta do?
no, it's not. since you ignored my entire point, i guess i'll put it another way:You don't have to like it. But it's true. There were question marks. Lazy, poor motor, awful at FT's, wanted to play a finesse game like Durant. Pepperidge Farms remembers.
apparently he should've tried hoisting a few 3s on top of it since his teammates didn't want to make any.43 minutes played, 25 points on 12/17 shooting, 29 rebounds. +8 point differential.

teams passing on a guy does not justify any supposed question marks. draftexpress or chad fucking ford telling you he is lazy does not make it so. virtually all of his question marks were intangibles and those more than anything are completely subjective depending on the judge(s). teams judged wrong. it happens every. single. year. you are acting as though teams make perfect decisions every time and that could not be further from the truth.
apparently he should've tried hoisting a few 3s on top of it since his teammates didn't want to make any.
He also had his sixth game with at least 10 points, 10 offensive rebounds and 10 defensive rebounds, tying Tyson Chandler for the lead among active players.
Andre Drummond is first player with multiple. 20/20 games in season's first four games since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
Drummond is averaging 20.2 pts and 19.5 rebounds a game through the first 4. That's ridiculous. He's one of the most gifted offensive rebounders we've seen in years. If they ever get some steady and consistent shooting around him they might start making some headway as he creates tons of extra possessions.
Yeah, kinda wish we had taken him instead of Dion. Moz not being on the team and not bestowing us with his awful commercials in that alternate reality though might make it not worth it.
Just about everybody knew that Monroe and smith together with Drummond was a train wreck waiting to happen. It could have been good in the 90's or 80's when nobody was utilizing the 3 point shot. In this era it was doomed.
Everybody knows at this point that Drummond should have been the pick, but we really can't complain how things turned out.Fantasy guys love it, but Stan has to ease up on the minutes for Drummond.
But if he has better shooters around him he won't get as many opportunities for offensive reboundsDrummond is averaging 20.2 pts and 19.5 rebounds a game through the first 4. That's ridiculous.
