The Boston Celtics Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think that's a viable way of looking at it, but people with freakishly long and skinny arms like Durant can give off the illusion of being "rerouted" or "impeded" despite their being little contact in the first place. It definitely does make sense when you look at it that way, but Durant's body type and the way he uses it completely milks this interpretation to the fullest.

I think you need to draw the line somewhere.

You're right. When are superstar SGs gonna get the same negative rep for offensive flopping that AV used to get on the defensive side? WHEEEEEEEEENNNNNN!!!???!!! :chuckles:

LOL, it will never happen for someone like Durant or Kobe. They're superstars and AV isn't, so AV gets stuck with the reputation as a flopper for the rest of his career while Kobe, Wade, and Durant are allowed to milk even the slightest bit of contact. Lebron needs to milk it a little more when he's barreling to the rim, there were a few fouls on him by Bogut that he could have got if he stepped up his acting abilities imo :chuckles:.

While that might get him a few more calls, which I wouldn't mind, I doubt he does it. He already has a bad rep for complaining a lot, whether he deserves that rep or not, and if he starts flopping, his image would be further tarnished. He's probably considered it and decided it's not a good "image" move. Not to mention that he might get a few "retaliation" calls against him on the other end. In the end, I think his legacy would look that much stronger if he's never had that advantage, like D-Whistle and Blitch-Mamba.

Edit: Ooooh, did I just invent another witty Kobe nickname? Score! :chuckles:

KG in a nutshell.

Nate Robinson's >_> face is epic.

Fuck the Celtics, FUCK YOU KG!!! You are a fucking bitch, continuously slapping David Lee's arms off of you while he's defending you......barking at him.....KG is a smug thug.....what made it better was how thay lost to the Knicks by 3....:gap:

I get the feeling that KG might be the most despised player in the NBA. It doesn't even seem like his teammates like him. He better watch it because Nate Robinson will punch him.

Epic fail on Boston's behalf tonight. Can't say it was much of a surprise, though.

Just more proof that Boston can't handle uptempo teams. If we meet them in the playoffs, we have to try to run more.

It's not possible Boston truly believes they can beat the Cavs and are losing games on purpose to play them in round two, is it?

Someone today tried to tell me that if the Cavs took on the Celtics in the second round, it would be guaranteed to go seven games. I was flabbergasted by that comment. It's amazing what winning one title can do for how a team is perceived two years later, especially when half that team is comprised of AARP cardholders.

What's up with you guys? Good. I'm glad he has a point. The refs have about 2+ years of screwing the Celtics to make up for all those fucking moving screens they got away with every game the last 2 years. I don't like seeing refs make bad calls in any game, but any time a call goes against the Celtics I just laugh and enjoy. I respectfully hate the Lakers and Magic. I have absolutely no respect for the Celtics or the fans. Fuck'em. I love seeing a KG or Pierce get injured or a call going against the Celtics and Tommy Hienson going ballistic.

I LOVE it.

There is absolutely no scenario you could come up with where I would root for Garnett or Pierce. Both are such douche bags, and Garnett is scared of anybody over 6 feet tall.

As for Durant, I think it just means he is definitely a superstar now. Can't blame him for the referees' incompetance. He is just taking advantage of it.

If I could rep this post 1,000 times I would absolutely do it.

Wow, Boston down 20+ with 2 minutes left in third, at home, to the Wizards...I used to think it'd be better to face Atlanta in the playoffs, but I really think it would be better if we faced Boston, they've capitulated...

Boston is absolutely a shell of themselves. I'm so happy that it's happened in only a 2 year span, as well.
