I'm not so sure how this will turn out. I'm anxious to see it, but I just wonder if they are dragging this out.

Some movies should just stop at 2.

I'll probably put my foot in my mouth once I see this one though.

ummm if there were 3 books, why wouldnt they make 3 movies??

im looking forward to this one though.

Didn't know it was based on a book series.
Who's the author?

Robert Ludlum. Not to play spoiler and all but the movies don't follow the plot at all.

Not to say I don't enjoy the Bourne Movies...it's just that you should know that the similarities are basically i.) Amnesia; ii.) Names, iii.) That Bourne's a spy.

The book plot centers around a missing "Delta Team" operative named "Cain". (I say "Delta Team" in quotes, because, if I understand correctly, Delta was a rumour/myth at the time Ludlum wrote the book.)

The plot is somewhat confusing. However, the main point is that superagent/Rambo type Bourne volunteers for a suicide mission in 'Nam after his family is killed by a stray bomb (in Laos or Cambodia). Later, Bourne is hunting the legendary commie contract assassin/terrorist Ilyich Ramirez Sanchez, aka Carlos "The Jackal". Bourne goes deep cover as a rival hitman in order to flesh out Carlos and apprehend/kill him.

Needless to say, when Bourne gets amnesia, things get complicated.

Ludlum was one of my favorite authors as a kid. I liked Bourne, but I thought some of his other novels were more compelling. As an adult, I find Ludlum's obsession with the Nazis fascinating, although it doesn't enter too much into the Bourne Trilogy.

I liked the first two and plan on seeing this one as well.

It will be interesting to see how they take the movies after this one is over. There is a sequel book to the original trilogy, but the original author died. I liked the first movie, but the plot of the original book sounds way better than the movie...I like that type of historical fiction and backstory.

I'm looking forward to this movie more than any of the superhero movies, those are getting tired already.
