I'm sure OSU will restore it. Didn't they design and put up a mural for the Tressell years? Even post NCAA sanctions?

I don't think they genuinely care given how they haven't distanced themselves from it. I'm sure after some period of time they will revisit the wins reductions.

Simply insane that we've had them vacated longer than Penn State but not exactly an example to follow.

Also also, anybody know if we'll ever un-vacate 2010? It's my understanding that we did that and not the NCAA... It's been a few years. We served a bowl ban and lost those scholarships. We fired a beloved coach. I know our record doesn't indicate "sentence served" but our violations were not really a cause for more than the sentence we've served.
Not really up to OSU to unvacate them. NCAA would have to do that now.

Vacated wins are the absolute dumbest penalties ever. Who cares? We all know what happened on the field. All it does is add an extra footnote on the wikipedia page.

Why not? That was a great, great era.

Stupid NCAA rules and Tressel lying about it doesn't change that at all.

I'm sure they don't care, why should they?

I'd be a little surprised if they pushed to bring those wins back, honestly. It's really just not that big of a deal. The only bad thing that resulted from Tatgate was missing a National Championship Game against a weak Notre Dame team who ironically just had their wins from that season vacated.

Couldn't give two fucks about vacated wins, lol. I remember watching the games. Good enough for me.

Like if someone ever tried to argue with me that Ohio State never beat Arkansas, they'd deserve to be fed to a plastic shredder.

I've seen this debated before but I have not seen a definitive source. OSU self-imposed the vacating of the wins, so when did it go into NCAA hands?

OSU proposed sanction including vacated wins and scholarship losses. NCAA accepted those plus added more scholarship losses and a bowl ban. Once the NCAA accepted the sanctions, only the NCAA can restore them. OSU could ask for them back, or there could be some bargaining on OSU's side to make it happen, but the NCAA doesn't have to allow it if they don't want to.

That makes sense. We should ask for it back because it's stupid and fucking Penn State... I know it doesn't bother some people but asterisks should be for serious shit.

Harbaugh is a whiny bitch.

He complained about EVERY call, even ones that were no-brainers.

You know how much complaining it takes for officials to call unsportsmanlike on a head coach? You almost never see that.

Looks like a 1st down clear as day, to me. What's the argument?

Sure, some would call that video evidence.

Others would say it's confirmation that fits the officials pro-OSU agenda.

There really isn't one. It's borderline insane that it was made into a topic of discussion. There's literally no doubt the ball broke the plane of the 15.
