The General Terrorist Rampage Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
NRA comes out in support of additional regulation of bump stocks, and anything else whose effect is to turn a semi- into a full automatic:

In Las Vegas, reports indicate that certain devices were used to modify the firearms involved. Despite the fact that the Obama administration approved the sale of bump fire stocks on at least two occasions, the National Rifle Association is calling on the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) to immediately review whether these devices comply with federal law. The NRA believes that devices designed to allow semi-automatic rifles to function like fully-automatic rifles should be subject to additional regulations.

Should require the same that it does to obtain full auto, IMO. It's the same thing. It's not about the fire mechanism, it's about the rate of fire. I'll be interested to see the nomenclature in the legislature.

As a gun advocate, I fully support this move.

I'm waiting for the day when the relative of a mass shooter says: "oh yeah, I totally saw this coming. It really was about time."

"I always figured he purchased forty assault rifles for a reason."

I would have zero idea if my brother bought 40 assault rifles, especially if he didn't want me to know. And I see my brother 3-4 days a week. Same goes for my family- they would never know if I have bought a cash of weapons and built a swathe of explosives in my basement. Neither would my neighbors or even the NSA since I use my neighbor's WiFi. I don't see why people are so judgemental of those around these types- unless they are the Tsarniev brothers and making the bomb on the kitchen table before dinner I don't see why folks expect their friends and families to know about gun caches. Do you know the porn your family watches (assuming this isn't something you talk about with them)?

Dude, it was a joke.

I spent so many summers playing w/ these in the backyard at my Grandma's place; well, OK, it was her trailer, but I feel like that's inferred when I said I was playing Jarts. :p

I never knew why they weren't called Larts. They're lawn darts...where does Jarts come from?

We used to throw them wide and try to hit people who were playing, but not paying attention.

That was the game, right?

The privileges that Mandalay Bay provides their VIP members is staggering.
Originally they said that he shot the security guard 10 minutes in and that was why he stopped shooting. Now they're saying that he shot the security guard 6 minutes before shooting at the concert and that they don't know why he stopped... The more we learn the less we know it seems like.
