The Gold is Golder: New uniforms to come?

A new one every year means they'll get a lot of chances to get it right. Also means we can pick which year to buy one of these. Also means they better have good predictive algorithms or they will don't end up with a lot of inventory unsold each year.

Maybe they're getting too much input and it's system overload but damn has Nike disappointed in its first year.

I'm a fan of side stripes on the jersey's but this does does very little to add to how incredibly bland and odd this is. Then again the Utah Jazz jersey plus court design might be an all time worst combo (pH paper on top of pH paper)

It’s always (in my experience) the teams’ owners meddling in the design process. It was the same reason the Browns unis were shit.....they got cold feet late in the process and went with the horrendous uniforms they have now.

Nike designs a lot of really nice brands / uniforms.....the ones that suck I would venture to guess are 25% their fault and 75% the team.

If the team just gave the designers the freedom to do their own thing, I’m sure they’d almost all look nice. There’s plenty of designers out there that have done uniform projects that confirm just that.

A buddy of mine sent me pics of those last week, they are all star jerseys. Their is a white alternate as well. Right above the numbers on the back there is a star with the logo inside it and the name is below the numbers. It's 100% all star .

I'm a jersey nerd....

Slight modification to the jerseys this year-- there's a thicker gold outline around the numbers. Hope this helps because I had a really hard time reading the numbers on both the wine and black uniforms last year.
