i dont understand why everyone is shitting on the magic and counting them out, its getting a bit unrealistic.

yes, the have rid themselves of Hedo and Alston, who were killers against us. Yes, we match up much better with them now. But to say theyre not a team just absolutely loaded with talent is nuts.

jameer nelson is back. they have dwight howard. barnes has been tacked on. Bass is a solid, solid player. vince carter is awesome. yes, hes not what he was, but neither is shaq. to say shaq is an awesome addition and vince carter will kill them is unrealistic. They still have Lewis. this is a good team, full of allstars. and theyre deep.

Parker is far from a great defender, it was his one knock on him when he played for the Raptors, his defense really isn't that good.

Actually, his defense IS pretty good. He's no Ron Artest, and he's not a stopper, but he has a reputation around the league as being a solid defender. Don't know where you heard he wasn't that good? He is obviously aging and has lost a step, but that's why we have Delonte and Jamario as backups (If he starts). Still don't understand where people are getting their anti-Parker statements from, but you will be pleasantly surprised with him on both ends of the floor I can promise you that elcheato.

I agree to an extent Dave, but the reason why Shaq is a bigger addition is literally because he is BIGGER. We needed someone to contest with the Howards and Garnett's, and now we have him. Also, Carter is a major liability when it comes to defense (has lost all quickness he had after his injuries) and he is a volume shooter, which doesn't bode well for Orlando when you have other guys that NEED shots like Dwight and Shard. I am Definitely not counting them out by any means, and I agree with you they are deep with the additions of Barnes and Bass, but we are just as deep if not deeper with Z, Moon, JJ/Darnell, and possibly West or Parker and even Andy (if we traded for a PF eventually) all on the bench.
