It helps to have Michael Jordan...
It helps to have Michael Jordan...
Like other former teammates, Grant was unhappy with the portrayal of various players and situations throughout the documentary.
"I would say [it was] entertaining, but we know, who was there as teammates, that about 90% of it -- I don't know if I can say it on air, but B.S. in terms of the realness of it," Grant said. "It wasn't real -- because a lot of things [Jordan] said to some of his teammates, that his teammates went back at him. But all of that was kind of edited out of the documentary, if you want to call it a documentary."
One of the storylines throughout the documentary centered on Jordan's bullying of his teammates. Grant said Jordan's behavior sometimes crossed the line.

Jordan smoked cigars like a chimney and drank beers after games.
CyberBron would destroy him 1v1 both at their peaks.
In case I haven't mentioned it before, Fuck Jordan.
I’m getting the general sense that i probably shouldn’t finish the series or else I’ll get irrationally angry. I already think it’s been meh for 4 episodes.
For me it's just kind of confirmed what I thought or knew to be true:
1.) Jordan is a great basketball player, competitor, and winner. No doubt about that.
2.) He is a straight up asshole. There's a big difference between "winning at any costs" and just being a flat out dick. Jordan's been rumored to pretty much be a P.O.S. as a person (many articles over the years have hinted at this as well) but seeing what happened in the doc just confirmed it.
3.) Had Jordan come up in the current media era, with everything everywhere 24/7, he either would've had to alter his behavior or the public would have a massively different opinion of him. You can only try to cover things up for so long until it all come spilling out. I get the sense there would have been a lot coming out about this guy, to the extent that he might have never returned to basketball in the first place.
It's also flat out strange how the sports networks (primarily ESPN) and social media have devolved over the years. Anything about Jordan automatically opens the door to trash LeBron "This is why he's so much better than LeBron. Jordan never lost in the Finals, LeBron did. etc." and many far more personal shots. Then anything about LeBron becomes essentially the same thing, saying why he's not as good as Jordan and so on.
Why does it have to be an open chance to shit on players for comparison sake? Especially when it's something not related to another player?
