The mystery deal discussed lol (take your wild guesses)

Again? Man he's crazy. So where's loki?

An item on a competing sports and entertainment network's website stated that the Nets' Vince Carter is on the Cavaliers' list of players they're interested in acquiring.

Intriguing. Juicy, even. Big name, prominent team, a potentially blockbuster trade. Alas, it's just another rumor.

I spoke Saturday with an executive-level source who has knowledge of both teams' activities, and he reported that the Cavs and Nets have not discussed a Carter swap in any form. In fact, the Nets and Cavs haven't discussed any type of trade in a month and a half.

Numerous teams around the league will be calling Cleveland between now and the Feb. 19 trade deadline, so be prepared for more rumors -- both substantiated and unsubstantiated -- to fly. The reason is the Cavs have two players they need to make decisions on -- Wally Szczerbiak, whose $13 million expiring contract is a valuable chip, and Anderson Varejao, who has a player option for 2009-10.

Pretty sure that Ken Berger used to write for one of the NYC papers...

Don't take this to seriously, just bored and messing with a Bosh trade idea. They will pretty much be looking for some young talent to possibly build upon in the future.

Cavs get:
sg. Anthony Parker
pf. Chris Bosh

Raptors get:
pg. Sergio Rodriguez
sf. Wally Szczerbiak
sf/pf. Travis Outlaw
pf. JJ Hickson
2009 1st round pick via cavs
2011 1st round pick via cavs

They get 3 young pieces to add to that core, a big expiring contract and a couple of 1st round picks. They needed a good back up pg for Calderon, they needed a sold wing player who can score, then they get a young pf with a lot of upside.

Blazers get:
pg/sg. Delonte West
pf. Darnell Jackson
09 2nd round pick via cavs

West would take over at pg or serve as a 6th man, they have been looking to upgrade the pg spot and i think he would be a good fit for that team.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...977~635&teams=28~22~28~22~28~28~5~5&te=&cash=

our new line-up:
pg. mo williams/boobie
sg. anthony parker/pavs/boobie
sf. lebron james/pavs
pf. chris bosh/big ben
C. zydrunas ilgauskas/av

This is just a fantasy idea if the Raptors wanted to move Bosh, but i did try to make it work. I'm only iffy on Portlands end, i basically look at it as West for Outlaw. I think that is fair talent and need wise. Then i guess its basically DJ/2nd for Sergio who only gets about 15mpg.

I'm waiting for the Heath treatment after posting that.....

But on a more serious note, how bad does it have to get for them to consider trading him. Imo if they keep losing, it might be best to move him this season as i think you would get more for him then waiting until next year when he becomes a free agent after 2009 (well he can opt out).

if they fall out of top 10 in the east by the deadline HE IS GONE

Well, Portland is looking for a PG, which could be West, but they need cap space to keep their talent, not draft picks to find new ones. I'm not sure Outlaw is available either with all the pieces they could move.

And while it's would suck losing our two promising draft picks and DELONTE, it'd be worth it. If we still have Mo, Z, Ben, and Andy while adding Bosh, there is no way we lose the title.

Never gonna happen though, the trade I mean.

Cavs/Bobcats/Kings everybody wins.

PG.M.Williams/6th Men
SG.D.West/D.Gibson/T.Kinsey
SF.L.James/G.Wallace/J.Williams
PF.A.Verajao/B.Wallace/D.Jackson
C.Z.Ilgauskus/N.Muhamed/J.Hickson

Verajao is ready to start......
Ben takes Andy's role off the bench

And we can still get Wally back. Brilliant........

Nazr has a bad contract, but he is a team guy, who won a championship with the Spurs in 2005 as their
starting Center.

He just turned 31, he is younger than Z, Ben, and Wright, he can block shots, rebound well ,and score with his back to the basket.

The guy is getting no minutes in Charllote, so it looks like he sucks, but that is not the case,he can be our P.j. Brown.

We run the Spurs defense and this guy already knows the system,Plus he would not be a threat to Andy's minutes like Joe was.

Plus we save almost 3mil this year with this deal, and we have Snow's salary coming off the books as well.

That's funny, I don't remember "Andy's role off the bench" being third string point guard. Not to mention JJ isn't a center and Gerald Wallace is not a point guard either.

"Brilliant."

If the Raps are 10-15 games below .500 they will consider trading him IMO.

They will give it another go for one more year with Bosh. Then if they really can't do anything they will deal him. A team will rent him for half a year because it could mean a championship to a team that can't get over the hump.

cavs need to get mike miller this year for wally if they cant get bosh. HOPE andy takes this PO and play out the 2010 season sign bosh then LBJ then Andy.. maybe even Miller if they want and Z if he is still wanting to play.

Didn't Mike Miller hurt his ankle or something?

I don't see what Mike Miller does for this team. He's going to space the floor out and knock down shots, we have Mo, Boobie, and Delonte for that.

If we get a swingman I think he should be able to play defense that way if needed we can have him guard Joe Johnson, Ray Allen, Kobe, B-Roy, etc.. and not rely on Delonte for that.

In the playoffs when we are in the midst of a 7 game series matchups will be huge and if Delonte is getting abused by bigger guards we have to be ready for that challenge.

I don't really want to mix up the team a ton, but here is a trade I think would be fairly even.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...796~1977~2759&teams=28~28~28~28~5~5&te=&cash=

Snow is an expiring, Boobie is the back up PG they need, Pavs is a wing player they desperately need one, and JJ is a big with lots of potential. Some firsts and I don;t think that deal is to to bad.
