OK. I'll let you all in on one of the bigger secrets. Before media day, out in Independence this past October, Lebron got on the scales for Max and Stan ...he was likely a little heavier than playng weight then because he'd just been travelling ...but, he came in a shade over 270 ..about 271 and some ounces ... I'd bet he's playing at about 267 right now ...and he's just a hair under 6'8 without shoes.

Now, AV they wanted everyone to think he was 6'11, about 260 ...but the relaity was he was only about 243 I think, and he's around 6'9 1/2 without shoes.

Interesting that LeBron is actually not quite 6'8" without shoes, I figured he was at least that tall.

Do you know if Z is 7'3 without shoes?

If LeBron isnt even 6'8" then there is no possible way that anyone in this league is as tall as they say they are. I always seem to be thinking to myself that LeBron looks just as tall if not taller than most PF's out there, but yet when you look at the height's listed it always has them as a few inches taller. I knew that either LeBron had to be taller or that they had to be shorter, not surprised its the latter.

NBA listed heights are with the players wearing shoes. This wasn't true in the 60s, when their heights were listed without shoes.

I always seem to be thinking to myself that LeBron looks just as tall if not taller than most PF's out there, but yet when you look at the height's listed it always has them as a few inches taller. Gooden and AV look/looked clearly taller then Lebron. Big Ben on the other hand I'm not so sure about.

They'd call him 6'10" if he was a PF

They add as much as 2" and round up for bigs... so Andy can be legitimately listed at 6'11" or even 7' even though he's only 6'9 1/2". We'd also heard that he was heavier last year and that didn't seem to be helping him. Probably better that he's lighter.

I also wouldn't be surprised if LeBron dropped 10lbs just from playing.

6'9" 260 sounds good. Let's go with that.

I believe it's been stated in the past that Z has lost at least an inch in height due to all the operations. I suppose back compression would be a factor for a guy his height too (people normally shrink as they age).

the nba always plays with a players height/ weight

ex: kevin garnett is at least 7 ft
