The Quarterback prospect thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm exhausted of this pre-draft process. The discussion of prospects over and over again is stale. It'll gain some steam here soon, but it's about to be stale for a week or so.

I agree with everything you said. I think Carr is a solid option at 26 but he's certainly not my first choice. His footwork can improve as you said and that doesn't give me any concerns. The thing that gives me pause with Carr is his ability to stand up to pressure. He's a very prepared guy who lives and breathes football so the fact that he struggles when put under pressure really concerns me. Some guys can handle it while others can't and to me, it's not really a coach-able thing. Will he improve on that at the next level? That's the major question. Everything else about him I really like.

I'm a little surprised you feel he doesn't fit what the Browns are trying to do. Shanahan will run a variation of the west coast offense. When the QB is asked to throw the ball he'll be asked to make quick decisions and the passes will generally be shorter yardage. The system will fit well with a rhythm type QB and the best 2 rhythm QBs in this draft are Bridgewater and Carr IMO.

Very fair points about the fit.

1. Bake Bortles
2. Teddy Bridgewater
3. Tom Savage
4. Aaron Murray

I agree, I think in the next year or two they will be moving the draft back, I'm starting to lose interest debating the same old topics and we are still ~2.5 weeks away.

1. Teddy Bridgewater
2. Johnny Manziel
3. Blake Bortles
4. Derek Carr

I don't care after that.

There are only two QB's I view as possible first rounders in terms of talent. Bridgewater and Bortles. And I think Bridgewater is easily the clear-cut better QB. I really don't like Bortles in the top 5, but apparently everyone else does.

After that I think Carr is a decent mid 2nd round talent (even though once again, he will go higher I'm sure). After that I like AJ McCarron in the late 2nd and early 3rd. So go ahead everyone, give me shit for liking McCarron

1. Bridgewater
2. Bortles
3. Carr
4. McCarron

Manziel is at the Indians game.

1. Blake
2. Bridgewater

3. Murray

4. Carr
