The Trump Administration (just Trump) Thread

Yeah, it's just baffling to me that Trump doesn't have someone between him and his Twitter account at all times. Granted, I know he doesn't give a fuck about anyone but himself, so he doesn't really give a shit if he offends people (he only cares when they fire back, as then it's about him), but it just makes him and our country look like a bunch of fucking buffoons every time he fires off another idiotic 140 characters.

Just like most athletes and celebrities, a president should have someone in charge of their social media accounts who makes sure they don't post dumb shit.

I mean, it's genius. He has to engage with his voters daily. It's part of what won him the election and I guess he thinks he can maintain that approach for 4 whole years. Keep building his cult of personality and dropping in occasional references to fringe conspiracies on either of the Clintons or Obama(the three true uniting factors for 80%+ of Trump voters)

Just wait until 2-2.5 years in to the term when potential candidates on both sides start to emerge. He will use twitter to wage war on them 24/7 well before the primaries even begin.

To be clear, although my politics should be fairly obvious by the very few times I've ever posted in this thread, it has nothing to do with my opinion of him as being an idiot or as being (supposedly) a Republican or Conservative(he's neither)

I would be adamantly and vocally opposed to the same type of daily/weekly twitter usage by a President who's views aligned more closely or even perfectly with mine.

Yeah, I agree.

I had no issues with how Obama used Twitter, but that has nothing to do with his politics. He just clearly had someone who was in charge of the account and it was used to relay information to the people, not for petty shots at those he didn't like or just general jackassery. His use of Twitter was, fittingly, presidential.

Yes, and I'm confident, that several/most of the 2016 Republican candidates, while I would have disagreed with much of the direction of their presidencies, would have also used it in a more Presidential/dignified manner.

I thought Flynn-ghazi was Trump's Benghazi. But it's looking like Niger is Trump's Benghazi. Once he loses the military, which is happening in droves, things are gonna move fast...

Argue all you want, but there is no universe where Trump has had a single successful week as a politician. Go deep on detail, go to the granular, debate and quibble out of sport alone - both sides - if that's how you get your jollies.

But reality is fail after fail after fail on things that a middle of the road milk toast dweeb like Romney would have fucking NAILED, let alone an actual inspiring politician whom actually understands our government.

That's how it is and how it will be regardless of what you guys want to talk about with an overwhelming readership of like thirty people.

It all depends on what your agenda is. For mine Trump has been extremely successful so far and that will continue once they cut the corporate tax and pass tax cuts for not only the middle class but also the wealthy. The media fabricates and misconstrues almost everything he does or says so if you’re against his agenda of course he’s been a big failure. Half the country sees what’s going on.

Is next week the week?
