The Trump Administration (just Trump) Thread

So CNN claims the President has heart disease and predict that he'll suffer a heart attack within 3-5 years. How they have any credibility left is beyond me. Enjoy your fake news awards.

I do frequently add to their ratings in search of some comedy for a break in my otherwise serious life.

They literally said in the briefing he has heart disease.

"has nonclinical atherosclerotic coronary - coronary atherosclerosis."

What do you think heart disease is? This shouldn't be shocking or controversial.

"Nonclinical" means very early stages. Leaping from that phrase to "probably have a heart attack in 3-5 years", when the person making that prediction hasn't even seen the underlying exam data for the patient, is absolutely ridiculous.

That wasn't the leap.

What is ridiculous about this in full context?:

"Gupta pointed to the president’s coronary calcium score of 133, because a score of over 100 indicates a high risk of heart attack within 3-5 years."

“That’s concerning,” Gupta said. “When you look at the findings you just put up there…this coronary calcium score is a score a lot of cardiologists use to try and be predictive and be proactive.”

“You can start to say well, if you do nothing different…you can start to predict the likelihood of having some kind of cardiac event,” Gupta continued. “The president has heart disease. Those numbers qualify him for having heart disease.”

Gupta works for CNN. That tells me all I need to know about what he's saying. His employer has no credibility when it comes to the president.

I have no doubt you truly believe this.

So therein lies the problem people have with doctors reporting the facts.

If CNN didn't spend every waking moment of every single day hating on Trump then people might believe the things they say about him. The doctor could very well be correct. Maybe Trump has heart disease and is a walking heart attack waiting to happen. But, given CNN's lack of credibility on all things Trump related I'm going to dismiss this as them trying to stir the Trump pot once again.

If you have anything to add to the discussion, like why what Dr. Gupta is incorrect or false, please post it.

Otherwise, maybe toss me back on ignore and stop shit-posting.

Posts that you don't like aren't shitposts. Posting 5-10 anti-Trump tweets with no additional commentary every day might be, though.

The Girther stuff is funny. The consequence of even discovering they lied about his medical exam, worse case scenario, is some media backlash followed by nothing. There would be no accountability and no one with any power for recourse would give a shit. And so what? We have a vain fat ass in the Oval Office, that shit ain't news.

If you ask me, they fudged something. But again, it's not even consequential. It's not like the Republicans would care.

Look for the Russia story to make a reappearance now that Trump's health scandal has been put to bed.

Still haven't gotten object permanence down yet I see.

Worrying about Trump's health seems silly to me. I don't care if he weighs 239 pounds or 339 pounds. If we're really worried about the health of our politicians then we should band together to stop electing 70+ year olds.

Naw, we should probably keep having elections where the last three major candidates are all in their 70s. :chuckle:

Not only is Trump in great health, he is the most energetic president ever so...

Porn Star Stormy Daniels to In Touch: Trump Said I Was “Just Like His Daughter”
Maggie Serota // January 17, 2018

“We had really good banter,” Daniels told In Touch. “He told me once that I was someone to be reckoned with, beautiful, smart, just like his daughter”

Okay this one I just couldn't resist. :chuckle:

We can talk all day about the weird shit he's said about Ivanka and whether he has or wants to fuck her, but at the end of the day it doesn't really matter. Just like it really doesn't matter that he paid off a porn star to be quiet about their sex (while Melania was prego?)... But it's still strange that we live in a time where a story like this breaks and it's not even a big deal. People are barely talking about the porn star thing compared to other issues. Is that progress or... what does that mean for us as a society?

EDIT: Okay this has more attention than I thought, but it still doesn't feel like a big deal like it would with any other political figure because it's not a surprise and is frankly expected from a scumbag piece of rapist shit like Donald Trump.
