The "What are you playing now?" Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Currently playing through Nioh. Story is hard to follow at times, but the gameplay, setting, graphics, sound, etc. are all fantastic. It plays like a cross between Dark Souls and Ninja Gaiden - to be expected from Team Ninja, I suppose.

Also, just bought a Switch yesterday and have been playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Great game, but my thumbs get sore quickly from using the controllers when playing with two players. I also bought Zelda, but am holding off on playing it until I finish Nioh.

I also beat Horizon a few weeks ago. Easily the best game I have played this year.

Wait till you play BotW, If you are a Zelda fan you will love it and even better to take on the go.

Nioh and Horizon are just two games that look great but will remain casualties of the "I have way too many games on my plate" problem.

Knowing your taste in games, I think you're doing yourself a major disservice by not playing Horizon. Can't wait for the sequel to come out, whenever that is.

Hmmm. Then I may need to fit it in somewhere down the line.

Playing Breath of the Wild now in cemu 1.9.1 at native 2k ultra wide 3440x1440... plays amazingly well.

I watched some YouTube vids of one of the streamers I like playing it and it seemed like another one of those games that just gives you a shitload of busy work to do, just prettier. A collectathon, essentially.

Depends on if you decide to stray from the main campaign and do the side quests. Some are fetch quests, others actually reminded me of some of the contracts you could take on the Witcher. Admittedly, I didn't finish them all, but I still probably put in at least 60-70 hours on my first playthrough.

I just got my PS4, so I have Last of Us, Bloodborne, and Uncharted 4 going right now and no end in sight to any of them. The good news is the only game I'm really looking at on the horizon no pun intended, on PS4, is the new God of War which looks sick. But once I dry up that PS4 well I may as well grab Horizon and check it out, should be cheap by then.

Finally getting on Destiny 1.

Games I want to eventually get to:

NieR: Automata
Persona 5
Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Destiny 2

Secret of Mana remake (2018)
God of War 4

Never played Destiny but I tried Destiny 2 beta and was severely underwhelmed. Will not touch.

Video game community: Give me the title of the game that plays as closely to Witcher 3 as possible. I need another one of those.

Not really sure there is one. It's kind of in a league of its own as far as open world games go.
