The "What are you playing now?" Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Yeah, I literally just saw it yesterday. I think they announced it the day before it was happening as far as I know. I think it was known to be in the works like a couple years ago but finally is happening.

Have you played it? Curious on opinions of the game. The only thing that I don't like is that the cannibalism seems to be going a bit far.

Have not played it yet, but I used to watch a lot of playthroughs on YouTube for it back in the day. It looks pretty awesome, but I can get why people could be turned off by the cannibalism aspects (I don't really remember it being too prevalent).

Going to wait a bit for reviews to see if the port over to PS4 was good, but I'll definitely snag it.

I might wait a bit too. But retailing for 20 to start is pretty good at least.

Never really found Fallout stories to be engaging at all. So I didn't expect that from 76.

That said, 76 is a hard pass for me at this point based on word of mouth I'm getting.

I cant believe I came in here to see anyone talking about red dead. Ingot the xbox x and a 4k t.v. The sunrise is more beutiful in game then in RL lol. This game has been everything and more. The one downfall is that I've always got bounties on me. I cant do anything without shooting someone in the chest with the pump shotgun. A+++

Has its own thread.

But yeah, great game. Just painfully slow paced. Gonna take me a year to beat it.

My recent games played:

Yakuza 0 - Loved it!
Yakuza Kawami - Loved it!
Red Dead Redmption - Makes me wish I bought Assassins Creed Odyssey. It is toooooooo realistic which makes for a very slow game pace. It is so slow, that it induced anxiety at times with all the slow walking. lol.

Finished Red Dead 2. Absolutely loved it. The ending of the main game made me feel emotions I haven't felt in a video game in a long time. It's right up there for me with read dead redemption. Im about 85% total completion so once I get 100% or close to it, I'll probably start over and play through it again. Arthur Morgan is now my favorite video game character of all time. His story arch was fantastic. Masterpiece.

Also I bought pokemon lets go for the switch and I don't know if it's just because I haven't played a pokemon game in years, but I'm really enjoying it so far.

Fallout 76 is a lot of fun so far, but I also know 5 other people that got it.

I've been having a blast with Battlefield 5. IMO, the best BF release since BF3. Map design is fantastic, its runs great, gun control is well designed. Dice have a special game on their hands here.

Good to know. I'm usually a Battlefield diehard but have gotten weary the last year. I just didn't end up playing BF1 all that much although it was a good game.

I might get BFV eventually, but I'm just really waiting on Bad Company 3. Or if they ever decide to remaster Bad Company 2. One of the best games I've ever played.

Haven't played video games in a decade but I got an itch. What should I try out?

Games I've liked the most:

Shenmue
Metal gear solid
Chrono sometjing
NBA and NFL games

Shenmue ===> Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami 1, Yakuza Kiwami 2 (some of my favorite games ever).
Metal Gear Solid ===> Metal Gear Solid 5 (You can thank me later)

If you like open world action RPGs, you HAVE TO pick up Witcher 3.

Honestly the worst part of the game is that it's staged in WW2... I would kill for a Bad Company 3. There's just so much more added depth when you get into modern warfare.

Thinking of holding off for BF6 or whatver it'll be called for this reason.
