The "What are you playing now?" Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Jesus Christ people, where are my Resident Evil fanboys at? If you had a OG Playstation, chances are you fucking loved RE.

Resident Evil 2 remastered looks godly. Plays godly too.

RE2 remaster is awesome. Gameplay is incredible.

Got the Anthem demo and it's fun. The graphics are incredible and the (limited) character interactions are great. Play style reminds me of a mix of Andromeda and destiny.

Got my PS4.

Also got Horizon, Spider-Man, and God of War. Gonna pick up Red Dead after I finish God of War.

I've tried all three games so far. God of War is pretty clearly the best. Love how they've completely reinvented this series, although at the same time I wish people would stop naming fucking sequels the same title as the original game. This is God of War 4, assholes. Either call it that or call it God of War: Think of Something.

How does it compare to Destiny? Does it have a draw such as the Raids? Because that was one of the biggest reasons Destiny became huge. Console players had never experienced such a thing before.

So what I played was pretty limited, but they had a free play area you could do whatever you wanted in it. Other people could join and do missions. You can also have a team of 3 players (might be more in the full game) and do these expeditions, which is just story driven quests. Your team leader can pick and choose which ones you do even if you don't have that specific quest.

I don't know if they're going to have full raids since I haven't gotten that far in destiny (or the anthem demo), but these expectations seem like a close fit.

Edit: this was on pc too

I actually liked how they just called it God of War. What other series rebooted in a similar title fashion? I can't think of one.

Horizon is a fantastic game too, BTW.

Can't wait to pick up RE2.

Thus far, I've only played the prologue/tutorial. Would have kept playing, but I saw God of War on sale on the PS store for 28 bucks, so went ahead and bought it. Once that downloaded, I started playing that and haven't looked back since.

Also, apparently I still had several games attached to my old PSN account, as I can currently download GTA V, Bloodborne, Infamous Second Son, and Transistor. Free games, sort of!

I think the only thing I don't like about God of War is how Kratos constantly says he doesn't care, but whoever developed this game surely had to know we were all doing every fucking side quest and literally helping everyone. Don't lie, bro. You care. You care deeply.

Haven't heard anyone discuss it yet, but just stumbled onto this trailer for Atomic Heart. Looks amazing. Gives me Bioshock with even more horror vibes, which is a great thing. Might release late '19 or early '20 if I recall correctly.

I just looked online and apparently, there are raids in Anthem. But they seem more like WoW raids instead of Destiny's raids where they are 100% dependent on team mechanics and DPS. Anthem's raid seemed like it was all about 4-man squad doing as much DPS to a giant boss for like 15 min straight.

BTW- I hope the game tracks progress for everyone in the squad unlike some games out there such as Far Cry 5 where you could invite someone to your game but it did not track their story's progress.

Still progressing slowly through Red Dead.

Man, the mechanics for movement are actually kind of wack. Like I run into people/things unnecessarily all the time. I can't be the only one. And they should let you move faster in camp. At least a fast walk man.

Also, shooting people's hats off so much is annoying. Like you aren't that good of a shot. Those bullets should be going through people's skulls. Cool, I shot 5 people's hats off in a row. Thanks for rewarding my aim.

Man the game play in mgs5 is just phenomenal. I really wish they had invested in the story line and put in more cutscenes and bosses. Had so much potential

I got used to it pretty quickly... def started out wack. You need to put some deep sessions in if you are still having problems. Agreed on the fast walk in camp though.

I think they did, but a lot of content was cut because the game was taking forever finish and Konami was getting impatient.
