I don't think Gudaitis is NBA material, tbf. I've been seeing him play for several years now. He's not smart like Zizic and I don't think he has the physical potential that Z has either.

Croatia lacks a point guard. Zizic looked good imo; just didn't get a lot of touches and didn't play much minutes...didn't play in the 4th quarter. The Croatian coach went with Zubac and zone defense to close the game.

I think it's because this was Zizic's first game for the Croatian national team. Zubac practiced and played with them in the games earlier this summer (while Zizic was practicing with the Cavs in preparation for summer league).

Zubac blocks more shots;Zizic alters more shots cause of verticality. Zizic has better positioning; Zubac looks more nimble and closes out better on shooters(??). Zizic is a much better post up defender and a rebounder.

Can't say that he is a better defender...definitely not in fiba when you can stay in the lane forever. They played zone anyways to close the game. I don't know why he favored Zubac.
