I am a big believer in Zizic and I see Zaza as closer to his floor than his ceiling. This is a player who was already 22 PER in the Euroleague last year (31 PER in Adriatic) and one of the best rebounders in Europe, it would be a shock to me if he wasn't at least rotation caliber energy big in the NBA based on what he's shown at next highest level.
Why Zizic is a great bet - Looking at success of Jokic, Gobert, Capela, Nurkic. They were all steals, centers, and they were all numbers friendly picks while teams continues to single out projects as the highest lotto guys. The Knicks took Frank 8th this year and was the 9th/10th man on a French team (11.9 PER), that's how little they care about numbers. Gobert honestly should've been the #1 pick in 2013 if I knew then what I know now about Intl players and numbers. He was one of the top 2 or 3 most exciting talents in the draft and his production in French league was great. For example I mentioned Frank's stats, in same league Gobert had 21 PER which was highest on his team was putting up stud blk and TS numbers. He got drafted like he was this huge project compared to the top NCAA guys, when it was the opposite, he was doing more impressive things production wise than these players like Bennett, Len and McLemore
