Never even set foot on the court this evening?
I don't understand, why this organization won't play him. They did the same thing with Edy Tavares.

He also has the best +/- of any player on the team at +4.4 although it's based on very few minutes and he usually plays either in garbage time or against the opponent's second unit. But he has good footwork and mechanics around the rim and is a solid finisher after getting a pass. He's just not much of a rim protector. He's a pick and roll big. Good screener, rolls hard soft touch around the rim.
Nah I think he is what he is. Celtics did not flinch to throw him Into the deal. The upside was always limited. He would have had a better career thirty years ago when everyone played a true center.I have absolutely no evidence to support this, but it is possible there is some off court or personal issue that has the organization viewing him less favorably than we think is warranted.

He's shooting 61% from the field and the Cavs are outscoring opponents by 4.4 points per 100 possessions when he's on the floor - best on the team. Not bad for a guy who can't play defense or set screens and "kills the offense...nearly every offensive possession".The offense bogs down whenever he is in the game. Sure he is a solid 1 on 1 scorer around the rim in the halfcourt, but he has to be involved in the play for efficient offense. If he's not getting a post touch or running a P&R, he's stuck in the dunker's spot - often playing next to Tristan Thompson, another non-shooter.
In addition to that, he is not a particularly great P&R big despite that size. He often doesn't make contact on screens, and dives too early and into the guard's lane almost every time. It's a small sample, but he's scored 16 points on 19 possessions as a P&R roll man this year. He's also just not the type of athletic roller that teams will feel the need to sink off the corners to get in front of (it doesn't help that the Cavs guards aren't the best at feeding the roller).
The other issue on offense is that he just does not go up and set a screen. The amount that he kills the offense by simply calling for the ball in the post for the first 10 seconds of the shot clock is tough to watch once you notice it. It's nearly every offensive possession.
So he's a solid finisher around the rim, but that's about it. His defense is a major issue of course, and he negates his size on that end with his overall lack of understanding of where his body is. He undercuts players regularly and doesn't have the length/athleticism to affect shots, even when he has the size advantage.
He's just not an NBA player unless he can learn some top notch screening tricks that teams like the Celtics teach.
That's because he doesn't know what he's doing yet. lolHe's shooting 61% from the field and the Cavs are outscoring opponents by 4.4 points per 100 possessions when he's on the floor - best on the team. Cavs will regret it if they let him leaveSeems like he should be getting run when one of the bigs is out, and especially when the 2nd unit is struggling to score. He's an elite screener. Better than Drummond and Nance.

I doubt it lol
